After reading a recent full thread why do you think there is such a divide with men who prefer slimmer ladies to men who prefer women who aren't as slim?

Very few of my friends express a preference for larger women. I haven't noticed any divisions between them and the rest of us.

i dont think there is much of a divide over size/shape, but i think there's a huge divide between confident, intelligent , likeable men, and men who seem to feel it's somehow macho or something to be derogatory, spiteful and arrogant.

I think the difference between the slim/BBW threads is that there's a few people that jump on the "if you like BBW then it's a fetish" bandwagon and treat the BBW lovers like freaks. Liking slim women isn't a fetish, so why should liking big women be any different.

My hubby has dated all sizes but prefers larger ladies. Nothing wrong with that. The majority of men I know prefer slimmer women, nothing wrong with that either.

Life's too short to worry about what others prefer.

There are fair few who are insecure.

Others are angry/bored/frustrated.

There are always men who believe they can shmooze talk their way into desparate pants by posting white knight shite in responses.

But some men don't help with stupid comments on threads about size. Yesterday was a good example. A guy started a thread about appreciating ssbbws because that was his preference. He wasn't rude about slim ladies but of course there were comments about it being wrong to appreciate people who obviously led unhealthy lifestyles and they were comments made by a male.

yeah, i'm tired but it seems like an appropriate word. in the least possible sense, although as a queen myself i expect high appraisal so.

also only my last half of that was serious, the bit after the seriously except the pig bit was quite funny coz i watched a film ages ago about these hicks who actually did find pigs attractive. it was a weird film tbh, no idea what it was called or who was in it as it was foreign. i was it on channel 4 really late on night.

i think women just don't need to give a shit about this stuff. every woman is attractive to someone. why men need to slag others off coz they aren't getting any and not with who they want, well i get that. i don't advocate it but i get why they feel like they have no power and feel they have to take some back by being a knob about stuff.

I dint think there is a divide I just think that larger or bbw women and their admirers post more about it so it's more visible on the forums.

Some Larger women often feel intimidated or insecure on places like this as they don't feel as sexy as slimmer ladies. It's one of the reasons I hold bbw nights at chams. Women of any shape and size can go on any night (including bbw nights!) but some larger ladies feel more comfortable knowing that there will be more larger women there as well as men who think they are sexy.

Slim women in society are generally thought of as sexy and that is the default position on here.... Look at the hit pics section for example. I don't think there is a divide I just think that they are celebrated in different parts of the site.

The mr likes pretty woman with curves, whether that's slim or fat. I'm fat and was gobsmacked that he was interested in me as he is gym obsessed.

I'm sure he would prefer me slimmer, of course he would, I would prefer to be slimmer but on the same note he loves my big boobs and ass.

I have had relationships with plenty of guys that haven't had fatties before (and turned them! Haha!) that's not to say I'm super confident about my size, I'm not- predadice against fat people is strong but I think it's woman that have the issue more than men, a lot of men's heads are turned with a flash of cleavage and a nice smile. It's the rare few men that really say a woman must be one way or another.

I don't think that there is a divide. Everyone has their own personal tastes.

It's simply that on here and in most clubs larger ladies feel comfortable and have open admiration.

That is often a rarity in a world that seems to suggest that, unless you are very slim, you can't be beautiful.
