The scenario happened to me one... I had just finished work and had a really nice convertible Mercedes at the time a was in my suit looking my best as such, at the petrol station whilst putting fuel in I caught eyes with a lady at the other pump.. I paid, got back in my car and Sat there a moment replying to a txt.. I looked up and she was in the queue paying but looking at me.. At that moment she came out and across to me and we had a little small talk then she said " what you doing tonight".. "taking you out by sounds of it", we swapped numbers and yes we went out that night... It's a true storey, seeing if any of you other people had a simular storey to tell..

Not in the street, but at work. A new starter joined the company, after I setup her laptop etc, she had some issues. We talked a little, then later she came pass our office and dropped a bit of paper with her number on my desk.

Happens without payment too, been approached on a train and at an airport in the past. Also by a semi stranger at the school gates when waiting for my daughter.

Possibly happened a few times when I wasn't single, but I wouldn't of noticed those.

I completely believe this. Despite what most men think it is almost always the woman who does the chosing. A number of times I have been with girl friends at restaurants or functions when another woman has contrived to go to the loo at the same time as me and given me her number. I have found a lot of women are utterly ruthless when they want to jump ship because their partner is ill, not got enough money, or simply bores them. I always wondered how long they would take to dump me.

It is a true storey... I met her that night, we went to a few local pubs then went to hers a drank jack Daniel's, listened to music and had a laugh till 5 am... I saw her again then on the 3rd date we agreed we were completely incompatible as partners but we had good times.. We became occasional fuck/drinking buddies for a year or so till she met her boyfriend but remained friend any still see her around in shops etc now and again... She said she approached me because though I had a nice smile,,, dressed well and looked confident but chilled. She, d seen me around before on occasions and seized the moment to talk to me.. On the subject of cars I knew someone who had a top whack Porshe. He said it was useless as a pick up truck as women were always calculating there wasn't enough room for her kids, mother, or suit cases when she wanted to be driven to the airport.

And they say working in IT can be boring. I have a new starter I like and sent a friendly email to her as we had a bit of a chat in the kitchen. A short while later her boss came in asking if I was meant to have emailed her. I told her I was being friendly. And she said ok. Later the girl replied but I'm now being a bit cautious and only saving my chats to her in person.

I've been approached and asked out by girls in bars, in work and the wonders of Facebook inbox messages but the only real standout moments were:

Buying a pair of shoes and noticed the girl serving was quite flirty so naturally I responded back as she was very attractive. She printed extra receipt roll off at the till and wrote her name and number and asked me to meet her in the evening. We met a few times but there wasn't much of a spark

I've been approached by a lady when food shopping, she told me that I'd caught her eye and wondered whether I had a girlfriend. I did have one at that time so it wasn't any thing I could pursue

I was working with a new girl one night several years ago, she wasn't my type but wanted to work closely with me to learn the job. She asked if I was single, which I was but politely said I'm not looking to date at this time. I finished the shift and arrived home to a Facebook friend request (no mutual friends) and an inbox asking me out on a date. I politely declined so she didn't speak to me for the next few shifts
