the I'm not perfect but who cares thread

Jump to newest

in the eye of the storm

Ok look I'm not perfect I'm a hairy troll with a face that makes babes in arms cry .

My nose is crooked ive got a couple of facial scars perhaps I could do with loosing a few pounds and at the minute I need a hair cut

But you no what I don't care because its my imperfection that make me me.

Anyone else care to join in in shouting from the roof tops I'm not prefect but I'm happy enough as I am thank you very much .

I'm also going through a 'fugly' stage overweight, ugly, boring and fed up.

But I also know it's just because I'm having work stress that's causing low self esteem.

So whatever is wrong, just try to flip it over and see the positive side, not the negative.

You're not a prefect? I should hope not too as you're too old for school.

I always say I'm far from perfect but I'm perfectly me.

Shout it from the rooftops? Not today, but I'll hold a neon arrow pointing to you though.

I'm feeling great as I am because I know my imperfection and desided years ago to live with them instead of letting them define me .

When you let them define you your never going to be happy with who you are or how you look in my opinion .

I'm not perfect either very far from it. Physical attraction is important but if that person doesn't have a good personality and is fairly easy to get on with then they're going to be very unattractive to me.

There is no such thing as perfect... Doesn't exist.

The only thing that matters in my opinion is how you feel about yourself. Because if you don't love you, nobody else will. And I certainly don't mean it in an arrogant way...

So whilst standing on tip toe....

I'm happy with my body and who I am.

Nope its all in your genes as to how long you will last a super fit man or woman who never smoked never touched a drink eat healthy lived in the Rocky mountains could still die of cancer before there 35 .

Your genes are what will determine 99 percent of your survivability not your life style .

Take my mothers side of the family all the women live in to there 80s with out exception .

Science is only now beginning to realise genes are what determine everything even your mental health .

Just because we have learned through science how to combat and cure diseases doesn't not mean how susceptible you are to those diseases isn't pre program by your genes

the same with how long your heart or lungs will last with out medical intervention it's a humbling thought knowing no matter what you do if it is in your genes your going to suffer it modern medicine treats weakness determined by your genes not your life style because no matter how you live if it in your genes your going yo suffer it end of because you cant cheat your genes .

they die of all sorts but it clearly shows lifestyle makes up more than 1% of your survival chance :p

like in the UK as a man i think once accidents and suicide are removed you've basicaly a near 50/50 split between heart disease or cancer as a cause of death.

genetics has its role but your environment is a much much bigger factor, have perfect genes but eat shit loads of red meat and you're a toss up between bowel cancer or heart issues.

given my lifestyle/history id say my top 5 likley causes of death (in descending order)

1)motorcycle accident.

2)cancer- (ive put a lot of crap through my body and my work environment also isnt the best for carcinogens)

3)heart disease.

4)generic mishap

5)suicide.

Not smoking and not eating fried foods or takeaways probably keeps my cholesterol normal. I have twice yearly blood tests and apart from low folates they always come back normal. I walk a lot too and go for regular smear tests. I thought I was getting early onset Alzheimer's disease, because my memory and brain functions were getting terrible, but it's the low folates doing it. I think my arthritis will contribute to my death, as I become less able to exercise. I'm making the most of life now, while I can.
