We all have down dark days, currently in going through them and even in my sleep nightmares are creeping in.

Anyway how do you bounce back? What gets you back to where you want to be?

Cake? Shoes? Shopping? Sport,

Op I feel your pain

Most days I struggle. I'm always tearful and have no energy.

I get through the day but think tomorrow's just going to be the same.

To try and cheer myself up I have a bit of a pampering session do my hair and nails.

I go for a run, or take my paddle board out on a quiet river. I'm very lucky to live in an area that has gorgeous countryside, long winding rivers and the sea all within 10 mins. I can't mope around a house, I have to get out.

I remind myself there are people worse off than me and I don't usually have to look to far to find them.

Self care. Im alone a lot with 3 kids so find it hard but a time out with a bath, wine and a book. Take a bit of time to do whatever it is that gives you joy! Xx

it's very hard to get out of this sometimes. As said try do things that you really enjoy.

I tend to buy personal things and then if I can show them off to people to hear what they say, makes me happier

Best of luck

I watch my diet very carefully, anything with caffeine, refined sugars or alcohol with fuel the fires of depression and anxiety. Healthy is the way forward and will drag you out of the darkness and into the light

Good luck OP

I know exactly what your going through op I have been there many times. I have recently deleted some forms of social media from my life. I go to the gym or for a walk. I get up early before everyone else and think about what I have. I love to get away to the lakes and have at least 2 holidays a year there. You have to give yourself some you time. To do what you like, surround yourself with people who make you happy.

I try to do things I can be proud of. My problem is I'm the most self critical person internally and I struggle to accept things that I've not given 100% to or even if I've done my best, most of the time I feel like my best isn't good enough.

It's tough, really tough.

Head for the hills...winter hill Pendle hill forest of bowland the Dales it really doesn't matter where.. go hill walking look around empty you mind sit people watch mountain bike fell fun... it really doesn't matter what or where... just do something... different ...go somewhere different...it will make you feel different...

Or just go buy a homeless guy a sandwich and coffee... that way two people feel better..

Enjoy your day OP what ever you decide to do...

I hope you feel more ...well just you...today..

hiding from cock pics.

I find being outside, really does help me almost let the wind wash away anything that is going round in my head. It's important to try and find some positivity in your day, there are always a few things to be positive even if it's the very basics of having something to eat and a roof over your head.

Try to concentrate on the positives more than the negatives, as that might help you adjust your focus into feeling a bit better.

It really doesn't. I'm off sick at the moment, can't afford to go out much, don't have many people I know in the area, and those that I do I know from work so it's a catch 22.

Fresh air. A walk, especially in the sunshine. It really does help. Also if you feel like having a cry, have a cry.

It's not easy fella , I have a fairly good job , 2 beautiful kids , some fantastic friends , but there are many days when I really can't be bothered with anything or anyone , don't know what causes it or what to do to fix it , all I do is carry on the best I can and try and resist the temptation to pull the duvet over my head and stick my middle finger up at the world

I was in that position for a while mate. After my wife left me I found myself sitting in a silent empty house when I'd been used to a mad house with kids running round etc. I was heartbroken and had no will to get out of bed. I put my mind do doing something for myself. I had motorbike lessons and bought a bike. Now I can hop on it and go wherever the road takes me and it's a great way of taking your mind off things and it beats sitting at home on your own. Sitting in wallowing in pity is no good for anybody mate, get out and do something. But a dog and go out for long walks, just do something. Good luck

Had a very very dark week recently due to events not of my making. It is not easy but I try to focus on any positives thoughts that come into my head and try let the negative, the what ifs and the blame thoughts flow past without delving too much into them. Watched ten minutes of Jeremy Kyle was almost enough to remind me my life could be a whole lot worse!

Get outside, get some excercise, avoid excess sugar, drugs and alcohol as these put you on an emotional rollercoaster!

Do things that you enjoy, for me that's a few hours cutting firewood... excercise, fresh air and something productive to focus my mind on all combined.

Recall some good memories and happy times and remember no matter how low things are now that there will be many more opportunities for more happy memories ahead.

Good luck, the morning light appears even after the darkest night.

Time and fortitude work for me. But sometimes the effort is so great it tires me out (mentally, physically and spiritually) I get paranoid people think I'm being lazy.

And as someone already mentioned, music, as long as you selective songs that really pick you up, some can take you the other way!

Get in my car, put the roof down, put some good music on and drive really fast and really far. I never usually know where I'll end up. Sometimes the coast, sometimes by a river, sometimes on top of a hill and take in the view. It works, its not for everyone, but it works for me.
