I've been considering having this done for quite a while. I was wondering if there are any ladies on here who have had this done.

Some of the things I'd like to know are, how much did it hurt to get done, did you have any complications, how did you keep it clean while it was healing, and how long did it take to heal. Also, how long did you wait before having sex.

And any recommendations of good piercers in the north west would be a big help. Xx

Hmm I have labia pierced It hurt like HELL nearly fell off the bed and i swore.. hmmm no complications I sat in the shower tray every day and bathed in dettol. lol i didnt have sex for 4 years . so it was well healed. go to a reputable tattooist / piercer and speak with them . have been told it can damage feeling .. others say it is enhanced . research the internet for stories..

Good thread, this is something I have thought about too. But I heard that it can either heighten the feeling or deaden it

ive had my hood done cant do nothing to the feelings its a bit if skin above your clit lol it just looks horny dont make sex any better unless your guys got a pubic piercing wow x

i've had mine a couple of year now, never had any problems with it. the piercer used a numbing cream so didnt feel anything and wasnt out of action too long lol

I can recommend Golden Dragon Tattoo in Cheater they have piercing for 18 years and are friendly knowledgeable and have a spotlessly clean work area. They area located by Cheater train station

got mine done in swindon, hurt for a nano second,was told no sex for 6 weeks !!! that lasted for 4 hours haha

I had my hood pierced - it was as painful as getting your ears pierced but no more - just like a hard pinch with a bit of a sting.

Was advised to bathe in healing salts which you can get from the chemist.

It heals quickly, in about 3 weeks and doesn't get in the way whilst having sex.

Be careful when washing as it's easy to tug with the flannel.

Unfortunately, mine worked it's way out. I wouldn't get it done again, but it looked pretty whilst it lasted.

It doesn't usually hurt but it can. The reason is that your genital area is relatively low in nerve ends, its so sensitive because the nerve ends are close to the surface.

The nature of genital tissue and its massive blood supply means it heals quickly. DO NOT have sex with and new partners until its fully heeled, 3 to 6 weeks.

Don't put anything on it, just about everything will slow the heeling and such things as antiseptic creams can induce infection. Just give it a good rinse in the shower.

Rejection... if it starts to migrate take it out before it falls out. Let it fully heel and then if you wish get it re-pierced behind the scare of the first piercing. Scare tissue is much tougher and will help keep it in place on the second attempt.

It MIGHT enhance sexual pleasure, maybe psychologically and or physically. With either or both, for most people the effects decrease with time.

Sorry u had a bunch of taking the piss answers.

i have not had my hood done yet, but have talked to ppl about it , including the guy who did my nipples and everyone assures me it heals much quicker and hurts far less...which is good cos the nips were at childbirth levels

The piercer also said that cleaning was v simple, normal hygiene is enough

As for sex afterwards, a wise friend said, half an hour

It just shows that everyone's experiences are different. I got a vertical clit hood piercing a few years ago now. It was worth every penny of the forty quid it cost!

The most that hurt were the clips used to hold the skin while he did the piercing which I found no worse than a sharp nip. I guess it depends on your pain threshold. I fully expected to waddle home and sit on the sofa, legs akimbo for the afternoon. Not so, I did some shopping, some housework and I had a wank that night! It was tender for 24 hours but healed very quickly and I certainly didn't wait longer than a week to have sex.

The guy who did mine was experienced and had been piercing for a number of years. He also advised that your own urine would assist in the healing process but I used nothing other than soap and water in the shower as normal.

One thing I would recommend is a rattle bar, have a look on Wild Cat (google is your friend) and then when you're on the bus, sit above the wheel!

I had mine done about 5 years ago.

It hurt a little when he put the clamps on, but the actual piercing itself did not hurt at all.

I was advised to wait a couple of weeks before sex, I waited about 6 days, but I was on my period for 4 of those!! When I first had it done it heightened sex for me quite a lot. But that wore off after about a year, but still have the same amount of feeling as I had before.

I love mine, gives me something to fiddle with when I'm bored, and of course, if a guy has trouble finding your clit, it now has a great big signpost!!!!

I'm an ex piercer, only s surface piercing so heals quick and your own urine is sterile to you for a short while, so everytime you pee you are cleaning it, same as a pa . Just take salt baths and it'll heal in no time. Hope this helps. And it looks sexy as hell

i had mine done about 10 years ago now

hurt like a fooker getting it pierced lol

healed really well tho, i was told to pee into a cup and pour it over every time i went to the loo as your pees sterial and keeps ot clean, had no probelms at all with it, i had sex same night you just have to do a possition where your not rubbing your clit while shagging, like doggy
