Don't call me baby

I realised recently the one thing that puts me off replying most is if they've used a name like babe or hung or sexy.

Im ok with petnames from people who know me but not random strangers!

Do other people hate that too? What's the worst ones for you?

Well get out of the corner then

I don't mind local terms being used, but yep know the problem. It's a weird phenomenon of this sort of site I think, formality is not appropriate when the aim of the contact is to get naked and exchange bodily fluids, but it's an introduction so some formality is required.

I suspect an autocarrot issue think the OP objects to being called after the countrymen of Attila.

Personally I don't like the term hung being applied to me either, especially as it is usually preceded by 'you should be'

I don't get called 'Hun' but have a female friend who writes it as 'Hon'.

Technically she is correct but I can't trip her up over this.

That annoys me somewhat.

Pet names make us cringe!!!

Whats worae is when an opening message is taken from a badly written porn film and they forget its a couples profile.

But then they tend to get a very blunt reply followed by blocking

The other thing is when people make reference to daddy's girl etc. That gives me the creeps.

I go to the gym about once a week and spend half that time on here or talking bikes to the old riders there lol.

my cardio fitness is appalling 2 years ago I could do an hour plus on a rowing machine these days 20 mins would kill me.

I'm a high functioning lazy bastard, aesthetics is the main advantage to working out so that's all I really bother with these days

Baby Girl. That one does irk.

I also had an old colleague who called everyone on the leadership team 'mate', including me. I still have a slight inner growl of annoyance thinking about it.

As a baby officer in the Navy, we had a Commodore who appeared to be stuck in the 1940s who would refer to me in briefings as 'Duty Skirt'. He was a joy.

Hiding in the shadows

I do find the way some messages are written off putting, someone I know calling me a soft name is OK, we're friends, have a rapport, but from a stranger on a first message, it's just urghh!

But this thread also made me think.

If I'm writing on social media, Bookfacer, twitter etc I call all my male friends Matey & females Lovey, done it all my life, and I've also probably done it on here out of habit

Apologies if anyone took it wrongly xx

I don't in a first message and until we have been speaking for a while.

Most I have been speaking to for a while I generally call gorgeous, habit and I've always done it for some reason.
