I decided I wanted to shed a stone before my 50th,hmmm that was in March... I guess to loose the afformentioned stone I should have actually put some effort in and increased exercise or stopped eating my bodyweight in chocolate or Gregg's jam donuts. (best ones)...

So I am kinda tempted to join you in your attempt, despite being a great procrastinator and chocolate addict...

What's your plan?

I already did half a stone in 2 weeks and probably more this week and most likely more next week. I reckon I'll be down another half a stone after next week if I'm not already. I was 13st on the dot last weigh in.

I so need to do this

Check out the 3 day 100 press up challenge

Don't change anything you do just do a 100 press ups at any intervals you want throughout the day with as many breaks for 30 days non stop

I've been thinking about it but 10 seems a chore haha

I've yoyo-ed with my weight for a while (Mart here btw), and lost and then put back on for so long that I started to think I'd never loose any permanently. At a guess, if you added up all the weight I lost then put back on, I'd say its about 6 stone or more.

Then I gave my head a wobble, and gave myself I bit of a talking to.

I'm lucky in that I love fruit and veg, so eating healthy isn't an effort.

But my big downfall was full-fat and sweeties (Wine gums and Haribos).

So, I started buying fruit to snack on, and switched around until I found a no-sugar drink I could replace with (pepsi max cherry). It was only a small change, and after just a few days my weight started to slowly come down. Best bit is, apart from a few little wobbles, its been slowly coming down for about 8 months, lost 2 stone, and its staying off.

I still have the odd takeaway, although less often than I used to, and I'm looking to make a couple more small changes to my diet to further reduce my calorie intake. And that I think is the secret, make small changes that you know you can sustain forever, dieting radically is ok for a month or so, but if you are miserable, you will crack, this has to be a long-term thing that you can do for the rest of your life.

Emm - I need to lose about 5st just to get to 'overweight' but aiming for 1st would be good as it doesn't feel as overwhelming.

I definitely need to get my A into G though as I can't get my winter motorbike jacket zipped up and, as Jon Snow says, 'winter is coming'!

End of last year I dropped from 12st 12lbs to 10st 4lbs in 3 months. No special diet or exercise.

Just my marriage coming to an unexpected end and having a breakdown.

7 months later I've managed to put most of it back on.

The weight struggle works going up as well as going down.

I had an awful shock when I went to the hospital and they weighed me for wisdom tooth sedation surgery, so that inspired me to get my rear in gear. In the last 3 and a bit weeks I've lost 18lb, hoping to make it at least 21 by Saturday (I have quite a lot to lose!) I'm following a low carb high fat moderate protein and it's falling off!! Yay! Here's to the next 20lb!

I'm the lightest I've been for around 30 odd years at 11st 7....but I'm going for that extra half stone now as it's getting better with eating soup rather then salads all the time...best bit about this time of the year is better food

Bit late to the program but just realised I go away one month today, and I really need to improve my fitness beforehand as it'll include lots of walking so plan to up the exercise and hopefully drop 10lbs too.

See that's far to fast...unless you were 20 odd stone to start with....I've lost 20 lb but it's taken 3 month nearly. ..but it will stay off.

Yoyo diets are no good and I think this thread is very optimistic for a lot on here to lose that stone in a month.

Weight lose should come over a greater time then this

Yes it can be. Over eating is just as much a psychological issue as under eating yet it's OK to take the piss out if fat people but not OK to take the piss out of those who are underweight

Sorry.

Would love to but as I float round at just under ten stone it would not be healthy.

Wish I could put weight on tbh.

Good luck. Eat healthy, good slow release complex carbs for energy.. like brown rice, pulses, plenty of vegetables, chicken, fish etc.

Aim for five small meals a day... Keeps your metabolism ticking over.

And regular exercise.

Healthy diet and exercise is a way of life.

Good luck.

"ok another one and a half pounds off - total 4 in 3 weeks - slowly does it

I've said before...that is the rate mine came off. I've now lost 20 lb and feel loads better for it in health wise and feel good factor

Just stick with what you are doinget and it won't be long to you hit that stone target....then like me..it bet you go for a few pounds mote

good job i like soup - ive just made little changes - i love butter on my bread with soup so cut that out - less drinks with milk in so juice and bovril - no crisps (ggrr) -

Don't mention bloody butter...I used to spread in on toast like plaster as I only have a 2.8 cholesterol level...but was not thinking about the calories

So cutting that back alone helps me in a big way

But am kinda missing it

i have crumpets in the freezer - they will be eaten with loads of the stuff on - no idea what my cholesterol level is just know its ok as i have had it checked along with a heap of other stuff -

Just get them mushy peas down you...they are excellent weigh loss food. Just not on toast it's just wrong"

not a chance in hell - would make me lose wight though as id not keep them down

Ah well if you've tried them and they don't suit. It probably best to avoid..don't want you going bulimic.

Anyhow your reply will fill this thread and as the op has not made much of a appearance.

Are you going to start part two?
