Why are some people so rude, it takes a few seconds to write 'no thanks'

After spending a few minutes writing a decent message and adding pics it gets instantly deleted and blocks our profile...

Basicaly a bit of a Twat/C*#t.

There and to the left a bit

Multiply those few seconds by several times if it's someone that gets a lot of messages, add a few more few seconds to reply to all the "Why nots" they then receive in response and before you know it you can see why doing so could become a time consuming affair and people revert to the 'no reply means no interest' method of dealing with unsolicited messages

The large majority of people who message us, fail to read the profile to find out if we'd even be compatible. It doesn't matter how epic and brilliant the message is, it's still go unanswered if it's clear they've not read it.

Some will, some won't, so what, next.

It's what the message filters are for, and this topic is debated to death, daily.

Some polite people, some less so.

Fabs isn't typically, the place for social graces morals or manners.

The ones who reply politely, are exceptional - usual excuses of "too many messages" etc is just generally people too far up their own arses, or appalling messages sent, so why should they do anything other than delete and block?

Life's not fair, neither is Fabs!

It's the way it is.

Sometimes I reply with a no thanks. Sometimes I don't. If I do send a reply it tends to invite a "why?" "What is your type?" And that's just irritating tbh. Have some self respect if a guy replied with a no thanks to me I certainly wouldn't be asking why not! Just take a no reply as a no thanks and move on

This was explained in original message so not a real issue.

Maybe like me they don't bother sending a 'no thx' because they don't want a rude or abusive message back! Looking at the choice words you've called them in a public forum I think they were wise to block you........... they obviously thought you weren't their type or they're not meeting at moment, we all get blocked or ignored from time to time just move along

It's just part and parcel I'm afraid. For every 1 person who accepts a non reply as a 'no' there are two who want a more definitive answer and will try and convince you with all their might that you don't know what you're missing and just give it a try, you might like me etc.

No point spending the limited time you have on here explaining your attractions to people you're not attracted to

When you get phone calls asking about PIP or letters offering you double glazing. Do you have a nice polite chat and write a reply to the unsolicited mail.? I don't ask every man to write to me. I have a quick glance and do something about the ones that interest me.

An auto-reply could be a helpful feature on this site. Deleted, unread or not replied to are pretty clear indications of no interest thank you. I've just stopped sending out so many messages, put up a club meet and chatted to real ladies who are players.

If we get a message and it doesn't fit what we are looking for and it's obvious they've not read ours

I.e. Smokers or can't accom or prepared to meet at a club

Then quite happily delete without telling them no thanks

If it's just a case of 'not for us ' but they've made effort I will always say thanks but not for us

Any follow up .. I will block

one second to copy and paste a no thank you op

so that 60 done in a minute 180 done in three minutes

now its takes about one and a half minutes to block delete 180 messages ,

so as long as you don't bother reading the messages you just open and send there's not much time being wasted where you could be doing something more fun .

I've been doing the block delete route once a week very rude of me end of this week I'm going to try your way after all I'm still being a rude fucker but i will look like a good guy to the unsuspecting suckers ops a mean lovely members of fab .,

If the double glazing company contacted us on Fabb with a half decent message message then yes we would short reply..'funny thing is against Windows is hot on our likes'

For some....that "few seconds" would be multiplied hundreds of times....all adding up to a lot of work.

By which time they have hundreds of new messages.....added to the many many "why not" or abusive replies to the "no thanks" in the first place!

I've seen this in practice.

We try to reply with a simple 'no thank you' to all who write a decent message. It's not as difficult as many suggest it is.

We find the overall majority respect our decision and are grateful for the reply. It's extremely rare to get a negative or persistent response.

Being courteous is a choice that many choose not to take and then look for reasons to justify that choice.

A decent message could also be a completely innocuous one without a flat request to meet or interest shown. A getting to know you or introductory one, for example. Responding with a flat no, thanks or sorry, I'm not interested seems presumptuous when they haven't even asked the question. Yet. Which if responded to invariably involves further back and forth messages to gauge the situation before having to give a no, thanks. To someone who by then you know a tiny bit. Which since you're actually not a rude person makes you feel even worse then if you'd just ignored or deleted their first message - with them understanding from that that you weren't interested. So maybe someone who doesn't reply is not a bit of a twat/cunt but instead someone who doesn't like hurting peoples' feelings and finds having to do the no, thanks thing the worst bit of being on a site like this and has decided that not responding is better for all concerned, themsleves included? Just maybe.

Not used to seeing this from couples.

However, the answer is the same. This isn't rude, it is simply an accepted part of Fab, as explained in the FAQs.

We reply to all initial messages, but we don't get an awful lot so we're happy to do so.

If we got a lot or had been through a stage of objectionable responses, we would be less inclined to respond.

We're not in anyway suggesting that you or others should change your approach. It's just that we are not going to change our standards, nature or approach because of a very small minority of abusive individuals, especially when the block button works so well.

Yes it is! And it's abusive/rude responses like that why people that would normally say no thanks just delete and block, to prevent it!

The irony of it is the OP is picking who they respond to on here lol

I just thought the OP was a bit ironic, moaning about people being rude but calling them names like that!

By starting this thread the way they have has justified why the person they're talking about was totally right to delete and block xx

I agree. I kind of get the impression from their OP that if you did say no thanks you'd get shit back!!"

OP I think calling the person/people a twat/c*nt on a public forum is far more rude than their decision to not reply to you.

They definitely dodged a bullet there.

"Why are some people so rude, it takes a few seconds to write 'no thanks'

After spending a few minutes writing a decent message and adding pics it gets instantly deleted and blocks our profile...

Basicaly a bit of a Twat/C*#t."

How about it's he same as you could easily have searched and seen others ask exactly the same question day in and day out but you didn't do that, you posted yet another of the same thread because that's what worked for u, for me not replying to each and every single faf message works, you have your way and I have mine, ranting on here won't change that

... I don't reply as normally the abuse follows! Let's face it you don't appear to be a respectful gent, yourself judging by the words you have used in your thread op! I wouldn't go near a guy like you!

I worry about actually meeting someone who can get angry over something like a deleted or ignored message.

Meet me, I'll send you a message afterwards and you can ignore that to find out if you really are that curious.

I prefer not getting a reply to be honest.

"Oooh, a message!"

"Oh. Bummer."

ST. AUSTELL, CORNWALL

"We try to reply with a simple 'no thank you' to all who write a decent message. It's not as difficult as many suggest it is.

We find the overall majority respect our decision and are grateful for the reply. It's extremely rare to get a negative or persistent response.

Being courteous is a choice that many choose not to take and then look for reasons to justify that choice.

That's because you're a couple. On my old joint profile I never got abuse either. As a single woman it's completely different for some reason. "

Because the nasty little keyboard warriors know that a man will be reading messages as well, they aren't brave enough for that.

I don't reply. That way people think I'm a twat and so think they've had a lucky escape. Better that than break hearts...

Just cant win
