As a guy, when you take time to message a lady on here and avoid a rude or smutty opening message ...

is it too much to expect a response even if its a not thanks not my type?

Dude given think the ratio is about 300 blokes to every woman...and the volume of mail a woman gets (been shown and told by women on here) it would be a full time occupation

To reply to all messages for a woman. The other thing is, if she gets hundreds of messages each time...then she might never actually see yours, yeah she might have read it but like said it would be full time job to reply to all way I've seen it

Because most of time you get inundated with messages saying but why not. Or you get abuse. Or they can't be arsed.

Read the rules. You don't have to respond

Have a forum search on 'replies'.

Some women get 200 messages every single day, shitty replies back etc. It's a common question but the reality.

People can't answer all their mail.

Saying no to every message gives me sore fingers and I need them for other things

It's their prerogative whether they choose to respond or not. I don't take it as rudeness not to get a reply. I imagine they just don't have the time. Besides i think a lot of guys on here expect too much without putting that much effort in first.

Deoends who the lady is. Some will give you the "do you know how much messages i get" yawn. And some i've met will say thank you but no thanks. Just deoends what kind of lady it is. All ladies get an ridiculous amount if mail but yet some will always reply. Lucky dip mate lol

Yes it is too much to expect a reply. Along with people reading the FAQ which clearly states no reply means no thank you.

Probably not as woman would have to reply to hundreds daily

Why would an inbox full of rejection make you feel any better about being on here?

Logistically? Filters. I regularly turn my filters on so I don't get unwanted mail. Anyone I have ever replied to though during a filters off period, even if it is to say no, can get through those filters once they're reapplied. And tend to have forgotten I said no the first time. Plus, I am a wuss and I avoid awkward conversations in real life let alone on here.

I was recently sent a message rebuking me for not replying to the guys previous message.I was told that a simple no thanks should not be too much trouble for me.

I took this criticism on board and replied to the next message from a random guy who clearly finds it easier to look at pics than to read, with a polite but firm 'no thanks' and a detailed explanation of why not.

Did I get any thanks for this? No I did not.

So, I thought to myself, 'stuff that.I just won't bother replying again if they can't be bothered to reply to my replies'.

It's really simple to cut down mail using mail filters and other means. But then that deflates the ego...

I reply to all polite messages and I've had less than 10 shitty responses in many years. I wonder why.

Someone here years ago wrote along the lines:

OP, you know when you get home, open the door and see fast food menus on the door mat?

Do you ring them up and say 'No thank you' I don't want to buy anything from you.

No, you don't and the fast food shops don't expect you to but when your ready you will contact them.

It's a bit like that and whoever put it; put it very well.

It should be a sticky but the forums has a different design.

Note to FAB Admin.

How about two more buttons next to the delete button.

One for an automatic 'no thanks' reply

And the other for an auto 'fuck off' reply

It's nothing like that though. Those are unsolicited mail.

I think a better analogy would be a house with signs all over the windows of people eating pizza/ curry etc in lots of different positions with cheese dripping off their tongue. And saying how much they love and want pizza and curry makes them soooo hot.

It's a volatile subject.

Replying thanks but no thanks, some will, some won't.

Some will use the excuse of x thousand messages a day, and cannot possibly reply to all.

I'd say it's a question of class & style.

The good ones reply.

pick wisely ......
