Hi,

Has anyone used airbnb for a meet? Seems cheaper and more homley than a stark hotel room but just wondered about the house rules some have, specifically the 'no events or parties' .How would that equate to me inviting a 'friend' or two around ? Also as I looking at the 'whole house option generally do the owners meet you and just leave you to get on with it or are they over attentive if you know what I mean !!

york

I cleaned a self contained cottage with hot tub where paying visitors often invited friends around - never seemed to be a problem to the owners who lived next door. I believe in the 16 months I looked after it 2 lots of people from this site used it as they put on meets from there x

Another one I do I can't imagine it would be allowed x

We used an airbnb on a holiday recently and the owners showed us around and left us to it mostly, they popped up now and again to say hi buts that's all, we stayed a few days and they left us to it on the last night because they were going on a road trip

My daughter has just used this to book all her accomadation in Japan

She had booked three different appartments in three parts of Japan and said she has saved a heap loads of money doing it this way

Central

If the numbers are low and not in excess of their booking rules, it would seem acceptable. If they're living in the same flat, for example, it would be less comfortable for them if an ongoing avalanche of visitors arrive. Be a reasonable house guest

We do Airbnb... I can't say if we've had fellow swingers staying but we've had a few 3 adults booking for our single & double room. We often stay away with friends so who knows what goes on

a village near Haywards Heath in East Sussex

We booked an airbnb .Self contained flat with 2 bedrooms. Not unreasonable to use the second bedroom as a play room with our guests.

I have used it on a regular basis and once I've been handed the keys I have never seen the owners throughout my whole stay unless something is wrong or I needed something.
