I agree. Iron Fist had too much corporate battles rather than the actual Iron Fist.

I loved the Jade Jones and Luke Cage series, think there's a lot of chemistry between the actors;

Daredevil started out great but tapered off with the screenplay; and Iron Fist was a bit weak....

So hoping they can pull this one out of the bag

Also, the character was a total plank. Apparently in defenders JJ is forever taking the piss out of him, that would work for me, might make me feel better about him being there.

I'm sure you could follow it and enjoy it just fine. I imagine there will be plenty of references and appearances from characters from those seasons so you might miss minor stuff.

You should definitely try to watch Luke Cage, it was very good.

Good to see different peoples opinions. I thought Iron fist got better towards the end as they used the Hand and Colleen more. I thought Luke Cage got a bit worse and the final fight felt a bit stupid

Final fight WAS crap. Just looked like 2 old duffers slugging it out in the street. That aside I thought it was a good show.

Jessica jones was also very good

Thought Luke Cage was ok at best. Diamond back was the most overplayed annoying villain in a long time

Iron Fist should have had much better fight scenes. Most parts it looked like a badly choreographed WWE fight

The guy that played IF and the woman that played his love interest had no background in martial arts and because of time constraints they were sometimes given as little as 15 minutes to learn the moves before shooting a scene. Explains why there's all those daft edits. Compared to the 1-shot fight scene on the staircase in DD season 2, they were pretty hopeless.

Love Daredevil, enjoyed Jessica Jones, thought Luke Cage passable and Iron Fist was painful.

Currently half way through episode 2 of Defenders and finding it slow. Not impressed thus far.

yeah I just finished episode 4. It's been too slow so hasn't lived up to my expectations so far. (Spoilers kinda) we all knew they'd team up and we're investigating the same thing, don't know why it took them 3 episodes to get there when there's only 8 episodes in the series? Not sure how they're gonna end it, because they all have their individual series before they team up again

Whilst The latter is not anywhere near as good the first three characters standalone's, it isn't awful either. But I think it's very neccessary viewing before Defenders

Finished it last night. Thought it was great, really well paced, good villains, and the fight scenes were much improved on 'Iron Fist' (still not up to DD standard though) Love the Sticks character too, like someone decided to turn Iggy Pop into a blind ninja!
