Green arrow

Are you a green arrow clicker before you reply to a post? I have seen a few, of what seem like unwarranted 'over the top' replies to some OPs, only to then read a comment saying 'judging from your previous posts' or similar.

So, just asking the question... should a post be read and answered just on its own merit or do people go the trouble to reread previous posts and take that into account? I felt that this may be taking things to a personal level which isnt allowed on the Forums but the arrow is there afterall....

Personally I just answer the post as it stands partly as Im probably too lazy to do so much homework and partly because I may interpret their previous works incorrectly anyway! Something may even have happened to change their view. So...

Are you an arrow clicker or a post haster?

I think each post should be taken at face and context value. Some people you can get a 'feel' for as they post regularly, but presumptions shouldn't be made.

I have clicked on the green arrow, but it's not something I do very often.

I tend to just reply to the post, and after being active in here for nearly 2 yrs now, I've learned to keep my gob shut too on certain subjects too

Newcastle and Gateshead

i sometimes use the green arrow... if only to see if a persons view on a particular topic has been consistant as there are people who have flitting round on topics depending on who is on that side....

sometimes it just gives me a better feel for a writer as well...
