Apparently you can sometimes trick the human brain in this way because it doesn't immediately realise which side of the body is which, and just associates it with the one that is itching  | |||

Have you tried ringing for some advice from your GP, the hospital, or where you got the cast put on? I'm sure this sort of question is what they hear all the time!
