Does anyone have a lost love,someone that you think about most days,and long to see them,even if its just once.

Or are you in love with or ever have been in love with someone you couldnt have.My lost love disapeared 30 years ago,and i have thought of him most days

That "ignoring" thing will chew you up. It's that crazy situation of he wants you but doesn't want you. A soulmate who has commitment issues. It is best to mirror his ways with you. Good luck.

Yep, I still live in hope that she comes back into my life, the timing was wrong at the time but I'm in a position now where I can offer her the rest of my life. She's the reason I single now, I don't want any obstacles if she gets in touch so I'd rather be on my own just in case.

Yes it was a girl when i was at Uni. I was not good enough or the right sort of indian (caste) for her family, she married someone else of her families choosing.

She comes up alot on my suggested friends on fb but she is married now with kids so i do not want to interfere in her life

Jesus, god love ya. I sometimes feel sorry for myself because I'm on my own and I could have had it all with the girl I've mentioned but when I hear things like that I just feel so sad for the person and so lucky I've got what and who I've got in my life.

Yes, she is the only person I connected with on all levels. I think about her every day and my tummy still does a flip when I see her face on social media etc. I loved her wholeheartedly but she decided to go back to her husband after all. We hurt each other with some harsh words and now don't speak.

first love - seen him about since and i had a lucky escape - never think of him

hubby - rarely think of him either - divorced 12 years (wow doesnt time fly when youre having fun at last)

third love - passed away after 3 years and yes miss him but dont think of him just the odd time - dunno if thats good or bad

Hmmm, one turned into a religious nutter, another was compulsively unfaithful, some short-term romances were great but there are good reasons we stopped seeing each other.

Sexually, it might be fun to play again - but otherwise, I have better ways to spend my days.

Yes and it hurts me every day seeing him here on the forums flirting and chatting folk up when he knows I love him more than anyone I've ever loved before.

He projects this image here that just isn't the real him at all, and I fell in love with the real person unconditionally at one of his lower points in life.

I thought we had a really good relationship for the two years we were together, we never ever argued, and the sex was absolutely amazing. I was good for him, and he was good for me and I still don't fully understand his reasons for leaving me. They seem such weak reasons.

I still adore him, I adore his kids and miss them terribly, but he left me at a time I was extremely vulnerable.

I should hate him but I don't. I do think hes an arse though!

It really doesn't, one is a negative reflection on you for no reason other than two guys didn't love you as much as you'd have liked , far more likely the problem is with them and they're incapable of loving anyone totally.

I too am experiencing that feeling.

Yesterday he should of moved in..he sent me a text on kik..I can't do it. My heart is broken. But I smile put on a brave face and try not to feel like a failure.Fab is meant to be about escapism not finding love.But sometimes you do and thst is when it hurts.

It's a long story spanning many years, we've had two relationships with a 12 year gap. The first time we were living away training and that's where we met, had a fling but we were both in relationships so it ended when the training finished. I looked her up 12 years later when my wife left me, it turned out her husband had left her two weeks after my wife left me. We started seeing each other but I wasn't ready to love again as I was still in love with my wife. She waited too long for me to sort myself out so she ended it, the minute she did I knew instantly I was in love with her but she wouldn't have it. It is she who moved on, not me. I wrote to her s couple of months later and promised her the earth but I didn't get an acknowledgement. My own fault I know.

Very true, not all break ups are bad, sometimes the timing is just wrong but the people are right.

I wanted to thank everyone for one of the most beautiful threads I've read on Fab. We were fortunate to meet very early in life, so are young loves with no hooks in us from other hearts. But I recognise in these words some of my own anguish over people I've lost in one way or another. Thank you everyone for sharing your vulnerability. It's actually a deeply attractive trait in a person xx

Beyond the shadows.

Yes, I only went out with for a year and a half but I was madly in love with her at the time. Unfortunately for me this was one love story where the boy never got the girl, as she got married to someone else.

We were only kids really and times were different, neither of us had the guts to do anything about it.

I still remember vividly saying goodbye to her for the last time at St Pancras back in July 1996. I'll always think about her till the day I die.
