OP often one sign of depression is when you no longer get the same enjoyment and pleasure from things you've always been passionate about and they just become a bit mundane. If life generally just feels a bit meh it might be worth talking to your GP about it.

You could be depressed or just a bit bored by your lifestyle. Maybe a new hobby or challenge would help.

Whether that's fly to Korea, shark dive, take it up the arse from a fat bird with a strap on... A bucket list moment.

Go get your bucket on pal. If you don't have a clue what to do. Ask the Lounge and make it a good thread. Then if you're funny and fit they may like you

I think some of the things I've done are plenty out there- I went to the Nurburgring in March and had a passenger hot lap in a GT3 RS but normal life is too gray

If a friend said what you're saying to me I would suggest that they might be depressed.

Have a chat with your gp or a really good friend. It can't hurt. But if you're feeling nothing but grey you do need to talk to somebody.

i go through flat times - take yourself away from the normal day in day out stuff for a short time - makes you see it in a different light - few days annual leave if you can and if you can get way - go - if not totally change your pattern - you mind find youre glad of the same old

I've felt flat loads of times.. sometimes life is actually a bit boring no matter what you do to liven it up.. and you hit a meh patch.. for me I snap out of it eventually because something or someone will come along if it's own free random path of it's own.. and change your path.

Things change. nothing stays the same. ever. Maybe something is troubling you that you're totally unaware of cause. Or you've forgotten how to look and appreciate what is changing in front of you.

But if you can't find a way to see the fluctuating patterns of life and enjoy every second. Then it never hurts to let it all out to the people you trust..

Unfortunately.. I think you lot.. have just become my people for that. So.. I'm game mate..

Or talk to someone who knows what they're on about.. we'd point you that way of you got wierd on us anyway. Some of them already are trying

Nurbugring? I drive an old rusty purple Nissan Micra. I live alone. Have to wake up at 4am every Monday (so why the fuck I'm up now is beyond me.. you sounded low though). I live in a truck most of the week slogging 50-60 kilos of bathroom a piece.. From Portsmouth to Brighton as fast as I can. It kills me! I've got dodgy teeth, which is why I don't smile properly in photos.. and as of today it's the only thing about my body I don't like anymore. And I'm a short, dad bodded smoker on FAB.. trying to get spotted in the sea of BBC, Monster cocks, six packs, perfect smiles, guns of steel and tats by Van Gogh scoured onto David himself.

Oh and someone I care a lot about and think highly of won't talk to me anymore and won't explain why. Another did the same six months ago and I've no idea why.

Your life cannot be as tragic as mine. I bet it is actually, in its own you shaped way. I bet if you share it.. it'll get off your chest and you may feel a little higher for it.

It does sound like you are depressed mate. The signs are all there. The best things you do or buy don't bring you happiness. Time to see a GP and go from there. Nip it in the bum (seems this convo is ruled by arse talk ha!) and don't let it get worse

I think you might need to start caring about yourself a bit more. But I'm a fucking moron, flying past you on the motorway in the Purple Helmet at a very rickety 80mph (as fast as I can get it to go) with a big grin on my face. I wouldn't take my advice

Our emotions symbolize where we have been and are at in life. Sometimes our emotional selves are out of step with where we are cognitively, so we're draining our energies through imbalance. Often our lives or ourselves change and we lag behind in some way.

Whilst we may see that the need for changes is clearly signposted, it may not be about shaking it all up - it may just be a call for action, or recognition of something.

Of you take a compassionate approach to yourself, you'll be better off than forcing or enduring something. Maybe the soft whispers of what you need have been drowned out by life and your emotions are putting the brakes on or just represent a louder hailing.

If you have depression then professional help is right. Otherwise angling things compassionately for yourself should be an honorable approach. Reflect on what may help support you to gain the insights you need, so you can progress.
