A young woman lost her life yesterday because a radicalised neo nazis, drove his car into a group of protesters.

Not much coverage of it in Facebook, and I've seen nothing on here.

I'm guessing that no one cares.

It's been all over the TV news channels and on LBC radio today!

There's more to life than Facebook!

I hadn't seen it...

But the levels of intolerance bigotry and raw hate in the world is sometimes so overwhelming that it's hard to keep up with the inhumanity that some display to others...

Someone much wiser than me once said...

Every man's death diminishes me..

More importantly not only does someone lose their life...

But the world loses someone who would have changed it in so many ways...

Joking is fine but I've seen loads of news on here that I wouldn't have known about if someone had not posted here.

I don't join in the furore over tragedies that happen in the world. It doesn't mean I don't care. Me writing a load of crap, slush or drivel on Facebook, or here, isn't going to make a damn bit of difference to the sufferers or perpetrators. I care.

Do you realise how many people die everyday for various reasons and never get mentioned?

Should we be depressed our entire lives to show we care?

Yes it's sad but can we do something about it? No.

Plenty of people care.

The problem is, many people think that posting on social media actually means they care.

Numerous people work to prevent such tragedies, work with communities, treat those injured, attend the emergency and poll to stop radicalisation in whatever form.

Posting that's horrid or liking a post then forgetting about It, isn't caring ??

I've unfollowed people on Facebook because of what they share. I read the news, I don't want my newsfeed looking like a tabloid newspaper.

I've seen posts by the truck load on other terrorist attacks, but this isn't being treated as a terrorist attack.

I guess I'm just saddened by the world we live in, it's a bloody shame that someone has to hate someone else, and for what?

I can't even bring myself to hate modern nazis, I feel sorry for them, my wish is that they learn that every one is in the same pile of shit, and we keep ourselves in said pile of shit by trying to climb over each other to get out.

But we'll never learn, we will divide ourselves into small controllable groups, and be more than willing to fuck each other over when the top 1% need henchmen.

The mainstream media push the agenda of the rich, they tell us to fear what is not us, fear that man who is culturally different, he wants to take what you have, and we listen like sheep, as we go through life thinking we have cracked it, thinking that we are free, we're not free, we are footsoldiers for the people who take from us but never give.

The lucky few will avoid abject poverty, for the rest, it's a constant battle for survival, we have a facsimile of freedom, where because we can afford the od bottle of wine and can travel to foreign lands for a holiday, where we have that little taste of what a good life is, we think we are well off, but if you suddenly can't work, you are screwed. Cast into a life of medical examination, means testing, and being treated like a scrounger.

Fuck it, I'm on one, I'll end ny rant so I don't ruin anyone's day

I've seen it on Facebook both in groups I'm in and from news outlet pages on there. I think the whole thing is horrific, but there is so much that makes me shudder coming out of the US and I'm not sure as a Brit what the value of my thoughts on it are to need to share them on social media.

I agree absolutely, unfortunately public condemnation of these lunatics in any country seems to provoke their hatred....

Britain as a nation has been fairly successful in marginalising racist extremists on our shores....

I care so much i've made a sculpture in my room to remember her, i also got plenty of t shirts and hoodies with her picture, so everyone knows i do care a lot about that poor woman who died yesterday because of the human stupidity.

I agree, I read the papers, watch the news and think I am up on all current affairs but don't come on here to discuss those type of issue, everything to the right place I would think, not that it offends me that other people would want to talk about it and I'm sure we do all care.
