So a couple of nights ago I was contacted by a user on here and asked to talk to them via Skype. One new Skype account later and we start chatting there. All seems fine then out of the blue she says "I can meet you but have you got a Security ID?".

I questioned her as to what this was and at the same time googled the heck out of it. She eventually sent me a link ( one of those shortened ones that doesn't say where it is going). So using my smartphone I followed the link and checked the URL at the end of it and found that the site was hosted with Weebly( a free site building platform) and was branded (albeit poorly) to look like a FabSwingers site.

At this point I let them know they had been rumbled and blocked their Skype account and reported them on here. So warning to all to keep vigilant and never believe anyone saying you need to pay for anything to be able to meet someone from here.

I think, in this day and age, we should all be extra careful

Not that rare on here unfortunately

Had someone take pics and try and contact me via other social media sites thankfully of which i am on none and trying to get money out of me and setying up fake accounts ect

We never take communication away from the site until we meet face to face. Any suggestion of money and we would report and block straight away.

I read about an elderly couple who gave a guy the entire £13,000 contents of their bank account. He told them he was a police officer and all the money in their account was counterfeit. The bank contacted the police when they withdrew the money but the old couple thought the bank and police were the scammers

and went ahead anyway. It sounds so daft to us that anyone would believe it but obviously they do.

You have to be so careful,my bank rang me once after a couple of deposits for £10 for top-up's came out of my account which I'd missed on my statements. It took me a while to be convinced it was actually my bank ringing me.

I have a contract with a phone company,not really sure how they knew,but they re-embursed me the money. Never found out how the thieving piece of rubbish managed to get my details either.
