Couldn't be more true! Guys tend to revert to type, that is, they're the "strongest" and can solve their own problems. They don't need any help, no-one from outside their little world is admitted! It's not "Manly" to ask for help and somehow they might be seen as a Wimp if other guys got to hear about it!

I can speak from experience.

Back in the mid 90's, I was made redundant, in a large unemployment black spot in the UK. Job hunting got me nowhere, I fell into debt and saw no way out.

I saw my brilliant GP, after seeing an article online about Depression, ticked off about a dozen related symptoms causing non stop illness. He agreed I was under stress and recommended Counselling.

It took a fortnight to set up and at my first appointment, it was emotional such that I lost count of the number of tissues I used!

But taking that step was amazing; the counsellor got me the help I needed including financial advisory people who told my creditors "where to go!".

When I mentioned to colleagues at a Managerial Job Club in town, there were mixed reactions. Whilst a few demonstrated the usual "Counselling is for Wimps" the majority admitted it could be of help to them, and a few did follow it through, stating it was the best thing they'd done in ages.

If I'm not comfortable enough with someone to be honest about mine and their emotions and our intellectual physical and other needs then what's the point.

The clue is in the name fab swingers it's about a connection..
