"They changed the sign in screen to a microsoft on maybe two weeks ago. It is still your hotmail, I've no idea why or what the brown rise from the bottom is.. but there's no other way to sign into it. I'd think it'll be fine." "When I google hotmail to check my private emails it takes me to a Microsoft log in page but for some reason that page flickers and what can only be described as a brown misty smudge fills up a third of the screen. Laptop batteries tend to get knackered over time by over charging. Normally caused by having the mains adapter plugged into the laptop all the time... | |||

" Mine is fairly new, got is as a back up for our pc, so don't use it very often and I don't have the mains adapter plugged in. I just assumed it would stay charged if I wasn't using it. | |||

As for wots on the page it sounds like a virus. | |||
