When I google hotmail to check my private emails it takes me to a Microsoft log in page but for some reason that page flickers and what can only be described as a brown misty smudge fills up a third of the screen.

It doesn't do it on any other webpage

Any ideas what can be done ?

I've tried turning it off and on again

They changed the sign in screen to a microsoft on maybe two weeks ago. It is still your hotmail, I've no idea why or what the brown rise from the bottom is.. but there's no other way to sign into it. I'd think it'll be fine.

Try taking the battery out and see if it powers up just off the power adaptor...

I had what I thought was a fully charged laptop, wouldn't turn on, so plugged in charger, it came on, but battery appeared flat.

Laptop batteries tend to get knackered over time by over charging. Normally caused by having the mains adapter plugged into the laptop all the time...

Mine is fairly new, got is as a back up for our pc, so don't use it very often and I don't have the mains adapter plugged in. I just assumed it would stay charged if I wasn't using it.

•+• Access Denied •+•

you can fix it by changing your email to something other than hotmail.

i don't recommend yahoo since that turned into some kind of trojan virus.
