Unfriending someone on fab after a social

Question here. Got chatting on here to this other couple who advised us to simply 'unfriend' someone you don't fancy after you meet. Apparently it's much nicer than telling them face to face. As we have met two couples we didn't want to take further than a social I am wondering if this is indeed the most tactful thing to do.

Friends would be just that, if you're not going to see them again they aren't friends so ditch them

I would just tell them you didn't feel the chemistry. It's better to be honest in my opinion. Rather than just unfriend them. I would think telling them I'm a gentle manner would be more tactful.

I've done that but it was after I'd seen a pic of his cock

Seriously though it would be kinder to send them a little message first then delete them. I think anyway

If you feel it is the right way to deal with it then great, others may think differently but you run your profile in the way that suits you the best.

I don't think I would unfriend them just because I don't want to play with them. I would rather just say I don't want to play but am happy to be friends and chat. I've met plenty of people and turned down play with them but it doesn't stop me from still talking to them. I've played with some in clubs and chosen not to play with them again but I still have a friendly chat when I bump into them again.

Yep you may got on like a house on fire and click. Doesn't mean it has to get intimate. But at least make them aware. They may actually appreciate the honesty. It's not all about sex. But also the social side with like minded peeps!

Just had this happen to me, and would've preferred a polite message first, than just discovering I've been unfriended. Guys have feelings too.

it's always tricky to tell someone you have met you don't want to take it further I feel... got told by someone once I shouldn't have told him at the end of our social but in a message afterwards... fuck knows...

Do adults never talk to each other? Why play games?

If I'd spent time with people then I would likely tell them, before ending contact . Blocking equals a no, though

We only friend people we've met and played with, makes it easier. However recently deleted all the single guys on our friend list as list got too long!

If we had a social with a guy but then decided we didnt want to meet to play then i would tell them and also unfriend them. I also unfriend guys who dont bother to messege/chat to me here unless i messege them first.

Depends how you see your friends list I guess, I have plenty of people on my friends list who I have no intention of ever playing with.

Whether u stay friends or not u don't hve to meet them again. If they ask just tell them u didn't feel there was an attraction & wish them all the best x

Be honest at the time of the meet.

Be honest.. the truth is, some people will always be hurt by the truth.

You can be still be diplomatic without being too blunt. But I'm sure that they will be completely understanding.

A bit cold I know, but we'd do that and wouldn't mind it done to us, actually it has. Never hold grudges or get offended if we're not for them, it really is a case of 'next' without any emotional attachment. But that's just us.

Call me old fashioned but isn't it better to just be honest and tell them how you feel rather than leave them wondering whether they have upset you or whether they have done something wrong? Unfriend by all means but give a reasoning and closure
