I'm in tatters, nose running like a tap and generally under the weather. I will have a 12 hour flight on Friday and don't want to sit sniffling all the way!

Anyone got any top tips?

If it's defo a cold try Sudafed. I think you can get it in capsule form. It takes away the stuffiness and snot

There's a natural product called something like 'Encshilinada' it's from a plant. I can't remember the proper name.

try eating chilli's between now and when you leave but it's too late already. They tend to help you stop getting a cold.

That helped a little bit. Take paracetamol before the flight and fingers crossed the hot weather will blast it away within 24 hours.

Echinacea. It does have some positive reasearch results, as does zinc I believe. But it should be on the way out by Friday anyway.

Thank you. That's the stuff I was trying to type but almost offered a Mexican food (I think, I'm pretty shit at this)

By Friday you should be well on the mend if it is bad today. Just keep your fluids up .. taking tablets might help you feel better but wont actually help the cold virus, that will just go when it is good and ready

Thanks for the tips! I had a turbo chili on Saturday to see if I could blast it out, but will certainly keep on top of the fluids

Suck it up and pray for Friday when it goes... There is no cure I'm afraid. Just management... As suggested by the above posters

If it's only a cold and you've already had it a couple of days, it will be gone by Friday.

Me too. I have been trying a healthy dose of man the fuck up but as we all know man colds, or to give them their proper name 'Manthrax' are severely debilitating. Take to your sick bed.

Wear a face mask on your flight and consider some ear plugs as well

I am no stranger to these. Alongside antibiotics the very best thing i have been given is a sinus rinse. Disgusting but effective. Neilmed. Buy a kit in Boots or online. Oh and don't forget to add the sachet of powder!

Hammer the vitamin C and get some garlic supplements.

Hot water with lemon and Manuka honey too.
