What do you prefer?

I have eaten butter all my life, and have never been a fan of artificial hard fats, as I do not like their tastes and textures.

I seldom eat biscuits/cakes made in this country for the same reason.

Just had a couple of crumpets for breakfast. Cooled so that the butter did not melt on contact, and I applied a thick layer on them. Yum yum!

What do you prefer?

I don't particularly like either, if I make a sandwich I have my bread dry, if on crumpets or toast I have a little of either.

Full fat me for me too, gold top is even better!

I can just about drink semi skimmed or have it in my tea.

Skimmed milk is yuck IMHO.

Love my chips friend in animal fat - dripping, duck or goose, yum!

I adore potted meat like rillette of pork, duck or goose.

When I go to my local farm shop to get some rump steaks, I have to remind them not to trim the fat off.

The pets get the chicken meat only as I always eat the skin.

I have double cream in my morning coffee, about a third of a cup is cream.

Despite all the animal fat I consume on a regular basis, my cholesterol level is below 5, so I must be doing something right with the other food that I consume!

You only have to look at my hips to know it's full fat butter, cream and milk all the way and i'm unappologic about it. I've enjoyed every fatty monocule of it.

.... Or you have found ways of burning it off...

If there is a filling, I will use spread... BUT crumpet, toast and toasted sliced ciabatta has to be the real thing...

Same with full fat Coke etc...

Where can you buy margarine these days...?

stork margerine. my mother always used it for baking etc...hard marg and half lard. and lard for chips etc. Lard is a natural fat so better to use.

I use an olive oil based spread and cook anything else with greek virgin olive oil. like the greeks and they have the best diet and heart rates going.well the cretians do.

Butter, no contest. And unsalted butter when baking and cooking. Xx

I have to have salted butter.

Can't eat the unsalted stuff, like the ones they have over in France!

I use spreadable ones nowadays, as I do not have the patience to beat a lump of cold butter until it is soft enough to spread on toast/crumpets etc. while I am in a rush to get ready for work in the mornings.

Gold top! not had any of that for years, I was a kid last time I had some of that, used to help bottle it to. I spent a lot of my youth on a farm, they kept a few Jersey cows as well as the usual Friesains. Back on the subject of spread then it's got to be butter if I get a choice, milk has to be farm bottled green top (untreated) I'd love to find some gold top round here.
