You don't have to be a Jamaican to celebrate.

The Moto of Jamaica is

"out of may, we are one people"

It's a good thing I've been drinking, because I wouldn't have known that it was a joke

I have a Nigerian friend who always says "not Jamaican time!" when we arrange a meet.

The last time we met one of us was late...and it wasn't the Jamaican!

Can't imagine why we have such a bad rep for timekeeping!

I was talking to a Lithuanian friend the other day, about how her coming to live here is a lot like when my father came here, people hear her accent and assume she's Polish, just like they assumed that my dad was Jamaican, and also when she first arrived she lived in a shared house in Handsworth lol history repeats itself

I hope that's coconut milk you're drinking else I'd say you're Anglicising that traditional drink!!! Lol

Happy Jamaican day, I've never been but it's a part of my heritage... The black part obviously lol x

Our sprinters didn't quite rise to the occasion this weekend! Teach USA got a little revenge for the embarrassing way our small island has dominated them in recent years....the relays will be interesting though.

Well, I've just woken up from underneath the rum tree, and been in east London, there wasn't a coconut tree in sight,

So the blue top bottle had to suffice

So you were sloshed in the far flung exotic land of East London you say?!... as you weren't able to find a corner shop or supermarket for your jelly baby needs, I'll let you off not being able to find a tin of coconut milk either ... Lol, Happy Post Jamaica Hangover day?! x
