What in your normal life have you done that you are proud of yourself for?

Mine is not throwing the towel in when life has thrown me some major curveballs. Could very easily just walked away but i stuck with it and think im a better person for it now.

I saved a mans life once after a bad traffic accident. Suppose I can be proud of that.

Starting my own business, another proud achievement when I look back at my attitude to learning and school.

Completing my degree and masters back to back while working full time, in that period my mum died, my daughter tried to commit suicide several times and I sank deep into depression. A very long and hard 4 years and quite surprised I pulled if off, proud of that.

When I had my bones and mind broken for so long by a physically and mentally abusing monster that I loved.

He grab my hair and push my face in the mirror and make me say I'm ugly and no one cloud ever like me apart from him.If I didn't do it I would get punches rained down on me.

If your made to do that for years it does condition your mind into thinking you are a piece of worthless scum and you hate yourself.

I'm proud that I got that monster out of my life I'm proud that I finally saw he would never change back to the lovely boy I once knew and I'm proud I kept that little bit of life burning inside of me I'm proud I didn't give up and I'm proud that my body and mind is healing and I don't hate myself anymore x

Getting through some really vile and brutal events when I was 17/18, battling the resulting PTSD and depression, and, after a decade, I'm 90% mentally and emotionally healed again - a survivor.

It was a case of getting through it in my own time or giving up completely.
