To be honest, the only thing good about this film is Will Smith; the film itself is crap but then I'm not sure whether that is because when I watched it, my daughter and I shared 2 bottles of wine and I kept falling asleep

Great book, terrible film. Far better to watch 'the Omega man' with Charlton Heston, which sticks more closely to the themes of the book - and doesn't have the dreadful CGI 'monsters'..

Whats the title of the book? They are always better btw. Its why I would prefer to see film first but usually ends up the other way around.

I had to look it up, I didn't know about 'the last man..' apparently both were based on the book (which, re the earlier question, is called 'I am legend', by Richard Matheson). Omega Man is from 1971, Last Man.. from '64..

I shall look out for 'the last man on earth' because it too sounds good - Vincent Price in the lead role!!

Yes, apparently the new version is totally non-violent, they've made the character into a very quietly spoken bloke with glasses who reads a lot. Oh, hang on, no, that's Conan the Librarian

Oooooo cant wait for that one, he looks soooooo tasty too.

watched leg end for the second time and enjoyed it more ...a little more thought provoking i thought and ohhhh the poor dog
