Is Fake profiles on the rise?

I'm consistently seeing people updating profile status, informing all about other people's fake profiles!

Has anyone had experinces with fake profiles and what do you think the site can do to stop fake profiles occurring "Difficult I know"

As a veteran of the site I don't see an increase in suspect profiles but I've noticed in increase in the amount of threads where people raise the subject ....

I suppose it's all down to matching our expectation with the reality of being on a site like this ....

I don't venture into the world of forums often, so I wouldn't know of previous post regarding fake profiles!

But it's clear this has been raised on more than the odd occasion. Which is why my thread is highlighted as being fake in it's self....

I've seen recently, status post naming and shaming so I thought it was on the increase.

I don't think it is on the increase but like the poaster above said there's more and more making out there are. Those who cry loudest are those who haven't had a meet and think a white knight wil gallop up and offer them a shag to prove they're 'genuine'

There's posts on things all the time, don't worry about repeating something already asked.

I was named on someone's status as a fake because I wouldn't meet him. Don't believe everything you see.

Any profile which is not verified either by fab admin or fabbers for longer period of time can be a fake but need not be. This is true specially for couples and single female profiles.

There are many couples and female accounts for longer period of time without even single meet or verification or even profile pic. Either they are curious and cant take first step or single males who are pic collectors with fake female and couple accounts.

BUT we cant say FAKE until they agree to meet and let you down.
