ohhhh how did they get that bad..

I recently had to replace mine.. but I was well aware that they were borderline...

I check my tyres several times a week.. and tyre pressures every week...along with oil, water and screen wash..

How come its taking till Monday to get tyres sorted though

Most tires now have little nubbins to let you know when you are down to the legal minimum tread depth... that and sliding all over the place in the wet!

It's a good job you didn't get stopped by the police on a check as its a fine and 3pts per tyre that's faulty.

One wonders how some people don't notice things like low pressure tyres due to handling changes, and as you say the tendency to slide when wet.

Perhaps it is just me, who wonders what the slightest change in performance, noise is with the car, and has tested to see how it feels when ABS kicks in, traction control etc

Think that most people have the music turned up, so they not hear any change in the engine or tyres, as a truck driver you learn to hear any different or unusual sound coming from the vehicle.

I notice every little thing on my car... I am used to having cars that would get pulled over on a regular basis for a road side check.... So I have never been able to risk not checking my car..

I am always shocked at some friends that never check anything...

I have had mine from new since Feb 2002, and know every noise that it makes, and every marks and scratches on her.

Although she is only a machine to some, I have strong emotional attachment to her.

reminds me of a story

my parents were driving us down to see our nan many moons ago when my dad started hearing a squeeking noise, he stopped to see what it could be but nothing was wrong so he started again and he could still here it.

wasnt till about the 4th or 5th time he stopped he realised it was the sound of my sister sucking her thumb
