Kids are easily replaced, a new, expensive car isn't.

I let my brother borrow my car a few weeks after I got it, he took great delight in telling me how he raced and beat a Porsche Boxster on a dual carriage way

He hasn't borrowed it since.

He also wouldn't be babysitting kids or my dog for that matter.....is there a third option

She's an excellent babysitter. She can't drive for shit. She can have my offspring, but not my wheels.

Fancy cars are for 'Look at me type of folk with no character substance'....scared of themselves and have to project this 'look at me' scenario.

I have driven a boring car for years, while my children were young. It had a hard life, and took all the crap they threw at it. Now they are older, my new car is more 'me' than 'mumsy'. About bloody time...
