"i saw a thread about do u beleave in ghosts so thought ide ask this one do u beleave in aliens ?" Yep. How can there not be in an infinite universe? We're not that special. It's out there somewhere. Two possibilities. We are completely alone in the universe or we are not. Which one is scarier? If there's life there will probably be every kind of life imaginable too. Beings the size of planets, life that is a gas ball all kinds of weird crazy stuff. Ghosts are probably real too if you take into account the possibility of other parallel dimensions and universes in the exact space as ours but a different dimension. Science actually backs some of these theories up. With the birth of Ai and quantum computing we may even find the answers within our lifetime!

"As for the issue of alien life, I tend to think it'll probably turn out to be utterly ubiquitous. The vast void of space will transpire to be jam packed with microscopic funghi floating around in search of hospitable places to grow. In short, where there is the capacity for life I sense we'll probably find life. This will probably also provide a better answer for how life started on earth rather than the primordial soup theory " . So how did it start on the other planets then?

"Definitely!! Us and monkeys were the same millions of years ago until aliens fucked around with us. We went one way and apes went the other " . No youve misconstrued evolution as most do, humans and monkeys share the same ancestors, we were never monkeys just like they were never humans

"If we are here, why cant they be there?" . They've been here for hundreds of thousands of years, most likely dozens of species have visited or at least dozens of different species probes. 15 years ago nobody thought there was habitable planets in our solar system, today we know of thousands, every week we find hundreds more, our solar system is 20,000 light years long, 6000 light years wide and 3000 light years deep, our solar system is one of hundreds of billions of solar system.... Its the infinite money's with type writers scenario

"Using the drake equation, it is estimated that, there are more planets in the universe. Then there is grains of sand on every beach in the world. Are we the only planet to support complex life.. maybe. But to believe that we are the only planet which supports life is ridiculously short sighted" OP did not state what he means by alien. If he means green men in space ships then there's equal possibility of both is and not.

"Im quite interested in this subject which may be out of place here but here goes. Your question is a little ambiguous, aliens exist in simple bacteria form as from our own solar system, that much is known. If you count life from another planet as an alien then that has been proven. Referring to what I've seen or read the actual chances of other human like beings inhabiting our universe is very unlikely. Two reasons: If you take the history of our universe for instance has been around for 13 billion years, cut that up into segments as the start of it was no more than a metre wide, within milliseconds hundreds of miles apart. So the first few billion was just dust and light crashing together violently. Then atoms formed which took another few billions of years. Then you have shapes and so on and so on. The time in which livable planets like our own is actually only possibly an eighth say of that 13 billion. So still millions of years yes but in that time we have ourselves in what we have seen thousands of years without any known contact. There had been possibility for aliens with their warp drives and instruments for millions of years and still nothing. Second point is that going back to how fast the universe is growing if there were aliens, that actually wanted to watch they would never reach us... going on to faster than light travel, which has been dismissed by many as impossible. Using Brian cox's theory as he seemed to have the best one explained when I watched him live he was basically saying that when you look in the niggt sky the light you see is from millions/billions of years and happened when the earth was not a planet. If you could somehow travel out at the sped of light to the nearest star let's say takes 4 years when you get back it's 8 years in your ship but on earth it's actually 30+ years gone by because time moves different depending on how fast you travel. So by the time you leave the destination will have moved on tenfold years compared to what you set off at and could be gone by then. Many many more theories that conflict. Some saying about the warp drive as being able to close down the space in which you are from an object as it moves away and expand what's behind you but nobody knows if that's possible... You can't say statistical or chance this and that because we actually just don't know." . I'd say your either mixed up or mental because the earth is 5 billon years old, you need to read up on the definition of "millions" and "billions"

Once you've acquiesced to the utterly ridiculous idea that atoms (in all their complexity) formed here there and everywhere just because that's how reality works... it produces atoms... it's really not much more of a leap to believe reality generates life when and wherever it wants

"Earths history shows when two civilisations meet it never works out well for the less advanced one!" This remark gets trotted out all the time as if it was a truism. Personally, I think our culture has matured beyond this. If we uncovered an, as yet, untouched culture we'd do our utmost to respect it and try and keep it as untouched as possible. The worst we'd probably do is give them the common cold... and we'd probably wipe them out that way lol But this idea that more advanced societies always plunder less developed ones is just lazy thinking imo

"No aliens, only demons pretending to be aliens so you stop believing in God then you die in sin and go to hell. Bingo. Thank me later " The famous Occultist Aleister Crowley claims to have had an encounter with an entity of some sort in the early 1900's. The entity called itself Aiwass and told Crowley - "Today you call us demons tomorrow you will call us something else". Crowley drew a picture of the entity after the encounter and the picture looks very much like the modern day typical Grey aliens from popular culture (short beings with large over sized head and large eyes with small mouth and nose). Crowley said the entity did not speak as we do but communicated by some sort of telepathy and modern day alien abduction victims also claim this is how the greys communicated with them.

There's this misnomer that it's easy to grasp how inorganic matter formed out of nothing but the riddle is how organic matter came from inorganic matter. It's just a paradigm. In reality the idea of inorganic matter forming out of nothing is so absurd there's really no difference to suggest organic matter does the same... that inorganic and organic aren't chicken and egg... they're just two different kinds of chickens
