Why is common for people to drop the letter T in a word now apart from one init. It does my head in. Rant over.

my daughter - english graduate- and now teacher of english always drops the Ts in butter - so its buu eerr - i just give her a certain look

Terrible I am a proud Manc and listening to some people it is mind bending. They have had a good education as you say. My dad would have cracked me round the ear.

It's almost as bad as people who say 'haitch' when they mean 'aitch'

My wifes family is from Yorkshire. They seem to add tye letter T to the front of words!
