Have you ever changed your profile to something completely opposite? For example one day it's saying you're looking for NSA fuck & go and the next day it says you're looking for a friend to share fun times and possible relationship.

The same people mail, but say they are totally into whatever you are asking for.

Have you ever tried changing your profile radically to see how it changes the mail you get?

No, wouldn't change it to match someone else's profile as I look for a connection and chemistry so you can be sure it won't be there if I've altered how I portray myself just to appeal to someone else.

In fact apart from minor tweaks along the way my profile reads pretty much the same as it does when I first set up this profile.

I've found I don't get much mail no matter what my profile says so I don't bother with mine anymore. The only time I got a couple of nasty messages was when I specified I was only interested in black guys. That's the only difference I have ever noticed.

Try changing your postcode to Manchester for a day.

TBF OP I have radically redone my profile and added some new pictures and while not putting things on just for a reaction, I think it better sums up where I stand.

But sometimes I just want a quick bit of fun and other times I want to meet long established friends.....so I might message widely differing profiles from one day to the next (or sometimes substitute minute for day)!

On a previous profile under another name not long ago ...

I had a single word on my profile which said

"Bollocks"

Same messages, same men.

I'm not looking at any of it negatively it is what it is - but I think investing too much time and energy into this site is only going to leave you disappointed.

But I'm horny today so it's a different story

I've thought about changing my profile just as an experiment. Would just have a couple of lines of text and a few dick pics. Would hide my veri's too.

I couldn't leave it like that as it wouldn't really be representative of me or my attitude but would be interested to see what responses I had.

My profile had a few tweaks along the line as I want it to sum me up as I am, rather than what people want me to be.

I appeal to a very select minority and am more than content with that.

I have considered cutting the profile down to 4000 cock pics and some txt spk, and that might inprove my appeal, but that could lead me to chatting with people I can't connect with.

If you like the cut of my jib, all the better, but I'm not going to fake a profile to impress an anonymous stranger.

My profile content says what I want, so changing it would be counterproductive.

I occasionally alter postcode, if I'll be staying out of town for a few days. That normally produces a few extra views from the other area .

I recently tried a cock profile pic, as a brief experiment, to see if it got any more views (Result: none, as usual).

We've tweaked the text over the years but it still basically says the same thing. This is why I don't understand the threads when people ask what to write as they aren't getting meets....surely the whole point is to be yourself.

i think most people don't have a profile coz 1) they cba to make one as they're after nothing much or anything 2) they can pretend to be compatible to everyone.

i used to change mine every day or every few days, adding stuff to it to stop getting loads of the same shit in messages or when i thought of something new i wanted to try.

my standards for a guy are still high and i won't chat to or meet just anyone, but they're so low on here when thinking of who will approach me that i don't really bother having a profile or list of wants any more. i just feel like why bother coz i'm unlikely to get anything more than vanilla sex here due to lack of guys building up trust with me. and the profile just helps guys talk bullshit to me to pretend we're compatible.

But the changes were just because it had never been updated since I joined.

Have noticed it's the pics more than the words that seem to generate any interest.
