Right venturing to the beach party at the end of the month. Traveling by bus from Glasgow to Wolverhampton. Get in I think its about 6pm on the Saturday evening.

Now need help getting to the Walsall Premier Inn.

Now may be having a stupid Friday but after trying to find bus time tables/routes im having no luck.

Can anyone give me a site for local bus times.

Or a number for a reaiable taxi company.

Mind and PM if its a site that cant be posted on the forums.

Thanks in advance.

"Why not just a taxi. "

It may be the tight Scot in me, but I dont believe in getting taxis unless I really have to.

You will go past Walsall to get to Wolves if you are coming South.

What route are you taking?

Wolves to Walsall will cost about £10 in a taxi.

A bus will be cheaper, but taxi is door top door, so you'll save your energy for Chams

I've done a little checking for you.

1. Find the National Express Website.

2. Click on the "Buses" link (it will be in centre on a row of 3 options).

3. In middle of page, there are two main sections. The left hand one will ask you for a postcode, which in your case, will be the one for the Premier Inn. Type that in and click on SEND.

The buses routes which pass by will then show up; further links will show how they connect to other points or areas.

But really, if I was going to be travelling in that area, where I was a stranger, I'd opt for a mini-cab; hotels often have their own preferred one, which they have used before and trust!

Its getting from Wolverhampton to the hotel. On the Saturday evening.

Its an area that I have never been to.

So I dont no if it works on a black cab system where you no all the drivers have been checked. Or its all private cabs, so basically your just getting into a car with a strange man.

Now I can see this might be a bit overkill on looking out for my safety, but its the unknown area. If im getting a taxi from Glasgow home I know if the driver isnt going A to B. I no if he takes a wrong turn and I can question it. I cant do this down there.

Now I could google for a taxi number but any muppet can set up a website.

Im just looking for a local number that members have used and found to be safe.

I know nothing is 100% safe. But just want to do as much as possible to make sure I get from A to B without any detours.

there are black cabs at wolverhampton just as you walk out the station and you can book a private cab there is a taxi rank next to the black cabs, by the way have the the number of the taxi company that chams use are very good and cheap

Hi

I have PM'd you

Are you coming in with National Express to the coach stop ?

If so you can get the 529 (towards Walsall) from stand Q. They go every 10 min or so at that time of the day (6pm ish), should take about 25 min with a 5 min walk after.

Hope this helps
