Just landed back home after attending the launch of a wine club that actually pays us to drink wine!

A glass of Campo Viejo Rioja is now being consumed.

What are you drinking?

I'm not sure I could bring myself to drink it. I'd probably lock it in the safe.

I think I'd regret drinking more than ever in the morning if I woke up to an empty vintage bottle.

We're more than happy with the 15 to 20 pounds range.

A nice Australian blend tonight.

The Unexpected; Cab Sav, Sagrantino, Merlot & Tempranillo.

Normally dubious of blends but the Aussies know how to do a good one!!

Where can we join your wine club?

Sounds awesome

fair enough but, what's the point of a vintage bottle if ultimately it doesn't eventually get enjoyed the way it was intended by the vigneron or vintner?

The Australians produce some fantastic wines. They're not afraid to experiment or use technology. The Italians and French are a bit stuck in their ways. I'll inbox you about the club if you like.

No I agree with you. In all honesty Its simply to do with affordability. The word Vintage alone puts it out of our price range.

Oooh please do, thanks!

I lived in Australia for 10 years and really do appreciate their red's and a good white from NZ.

Back in Scotland now and loving the choice here. Wine's I had no access to in Aus.

Worked in the wine industry for ages. You do get what you pay for.

Faustino 1 is fantastic. If you get the chance to visit the winery go. They have caged caves where people have bought a barrique and laid them down.
