You can 'do your bit' by connecting with some of these people, giving both of you that human contact we all crave. Become a hospital visitor, volunteer for a charity organisation, or join a church. Or, if the 'frightening' feeling of isolation is more urgent than that, refer yourself to IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies)~.
