ach if i broke down all my inadequacies, you lot would have me packed off with the circus.

we're all human, all have faults, never perfect and all have things that we are self conscious about.

it is how you deal with them and live with them that is important.

as for upsetting others, we all have varying levels of sensibility and again how that is manifested and dealt with remains the important factor.

political correctness has it's uses but to the average person, it remains an unnecessary resort.

a person of normal sensibility will know where to draw the line unless they are being deliberately hurtful and will use their own guidelines for what is acceptable and what isn't.

you will find that most peoples lines get drawn around similar levels - but there is always 1 or 2 who in an attempt to stand out from the crowd will make something into an issue that isn't actually an issue.

some of the sweeping statements and comments contained within these (and other) forums are not (in general) meant to be directly hurtful and are certainly not personalised.

i have dealt with a hell of a lot of comments over the years about my weight.

passing comments are like water off a ducks back - they do not phase me in the slightest whether they be from a stranger or a friend.

however, if someone persists in their goal of hitting something home, then yes it then becomes a personal attack and one that i will bring to a close pretty quickly.

you are aware that it's not only mens bits that drop with age pet ?

you'll be sat on the couch one day and look down and think 'why am i wearing a bunny slipper ?'

and worse still, you will say 'any why is it grey ?'
