"Just out of curiosity, can those with varying levels of colour blindness tell the difference between races without the need to be told? " What are these "races" you speak of? Cal

"I was messaged, with a face pic, by someone from the face pic Friday thread, and was surprised to see he was black and under 30. I thought he was a white middle aged man, going by his main profile pic. " It's just got me so curious as I was on about stating the obvious, but then I thought, well what if it's not obvious to everyone? What if there are actual things that stop people seeing it and need to be told.

"Seriously though, most colour-blindness is between red and greens, so Skin tones are only likely to be an issue if they're red or green. Cal " Cheers.

Some pics are misleading or not indicative of either.

"people of differnt races have different facial features, so even if someone is albinos ethinicity is visibile" This is very true. My best mate is Jamaican and his brother has grandchildren with white skin tone (their dad is mixed race and mum is white). Although they have very fair skin and ginger hair their facial features are very much West Indian.
