hi just wondering how people get past reception when inviting non paying guests back to your room for fun, has anyone had any issues or have hotel staff just ignored you taking "friends" to your room especially a couples.

Currently staying in Jurys hotel in Newcastle and reception right in front of main door.

If they can access lifts etc without key cards etc, no issues. Reception won't bat an eyelid.

If you do need a key to move around, meet them outside or in a pub etc first, then escort them to your room.

Again they won't care at reception.

The staff don't really care what you get up to, and they've seen it all before!

Have fun! And don't worry!

Brighton - even Hove!

You could tell reception you have friends joining you and then there's no issue.

We never had a problem. Just straight past reception to the room.

They never score at home.

Central

Increasing numbers of hotels have room key accessed entry to bedroom areas. One option is to get a spare key leaving it at reception - guests can try the mini bar whilst you're finishing getting ready..

If you're not disturbing guests or seeming to want to pack extra unpaid guests in to sleep overnight, staff don't care.

Go to the same property enough and staff can help organise things better for you, when they know what is needed.

I had a MMF in hotel last night. They just basically walked in, the night staff don't know who's staying by face I don't think, I even ordered the female a wine to the room. No problems tbf.
