Im curious and wonder just how many of us would shop someone they knew had been involved with any of the riots/thieving/burning taking part all over the country ?

Maybe its one of your kids ? your best mate, the next door neighbour .

who knows ?

But who would either pick up the phone and call the cops or drag said offender the the local cop shop ?

Personally....yes i would with no guilt whatso ever

I am a good boy.

I once found £600 in an envelope in the toilets at Gatwick Airport - and I handed it in !

Just thought 'I bet it's someones holiday spends' and I know I'd have been mortified if I'd have lost my holiday money.

Why is it you never hear of good deeds any more ?

I would and I think the perpetrators should be punished by helping to clear up as well as being charged formally.

without any doubt, i would be mortified if i think any of my kids were invovled in such awful behaviour and wouldn't tolerate it.

without a seconds doubt i would yes i'd grab them by the scruff of the neck and drag them there if needs be

our oldest son became diabetic at the age of 6 and the dietitian in her infinate wisdom kept going on about how it was ok he could still have sweets no matter how many times we told her our kids weren't sweet eaters, they were known in the family as fruit bats as they would choose fruit over sweets any time, anyway a 6 year old hearing this suddenly became obsessed wuth getting sweets, well as i wouldn't buy him them he started stealing them, every single time i caught him i dragged him to the shop to pay and appologise then make him bin them, my thinking that stealing never gives rewards.

one time he stole a pick and mix sweet in tesco so i marched him up to the security guard and told him what had happened, slyly asking the security guard to basicly scare the living daylights out of him which he did try to do but he was a bit of a softy and my younger son crying and asking him not to take his brother away broke the poor man this did work for a while but a couple of years later it started again so i took him to the police station, they were excellent they put him in the interview room and then took him to see the cells and gave him a damn good dressing down, this did the trick and we had no bother with him after that

so i can honestly say hand on heart yes i would shop them and anyone else that i knew was involved without hessitation

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I read on a message board recently that woman was watching the Manchester riots and recognised her ex, who'd raped her, bashing in a window. The newsreader said the police wanted people to ring in if they recognised anyone. She said she got to the phone in seconds!

Now thats good parenting. actions and consequences. Big gold star from me.

My mate used to take hers to the local phone box and phone the police and make the child speak to them. Didn't know it was their grandad they were actually talking to but it worked

also think that they should use the water cannons containing a permement dye so it would be easier to identify those involved, especially if they were bright blue or some other noticable colour

If it was a member of my family I'd give them two days to turn himself in. If it was anyone else I'd phone the police myself.
