Don't really think buffet food as changed that much usually all the same bowls of crisps chicken legs cocktail sausages with cheese and pickled onions on sticks. Sarnies. Maybe have a sweet table with it that has some of the old retro sweets.

Hedgehogs lol. Cut a grapefruit in half, cover it in foil and have cheese cubes, ham cubes and pickled baby onions. Put an onion then cheese or ham on to a cocktail stick and stick into grapefruit.

Sausage rolls, voul au vents (puffed pastry cases filled with prawn cocktail, chicken in white sauce used to come in a tin), French sticks, cheese board.

I'm sure google will help.

No 70s party would have been complete without a big bowl of cold rice salad (rice, peas, sweet corn and a bit of chopped chives or parsley if you were posh). Not to be eaten until everyone was a bit pissed from the Party 7 beer and Mateus Rose and all the nice food had gone.

Probably "health and safety" wouldn't let kids do that now anyway.

Or most stuff from the 70's would be banned by them.

Thanks for that.

I might just do that.

All this chat on this specific 70's theme has got me in a mood.

Maybe even tempted (with help from my mum)

To someday soon get a 70's theme party etc myself (with family/friends).

Buy a LOUD 70's shirt & medallion etc, maybe buy a Afro wig from one of these fancy dress places.
