I have a spice rack that is essentially just decorative. It's full of jars of spices etc that are WAY past their best before dates, pre-2010 for sure!

Keep the booze as an investment.

The bottle I have is a 200th Anniversary of Trafalgar special.

I did have two bottles, but you know how things go *hic*

Depends on exactly what the Champagne is, how it's been stored. Chances are it's probably gone but, you never know

My cupboards are generally pretty bare so nothing myself.

However, last week I found a bag of potatoes I don't even remember buying. The sprouts coming off them practically filled the cupboard!! They must have been there months.

If you bash the spices up and/or dry fry the out of date spices and tie them up in little squares of muslin, they make lovely little scented air fresheners.

There's plenty of life in the old dog yet

I do have a small selection of the Henschke Hill of Grace, although not quite up to the Grange standard
