if you pay a TV licence then don't moan about the BBC too earners

they get there salary because suckers like you pay 147 pounds a year

fed up of hearing people on here moan about bbc high salarys when it's then who actually contribute to it !!

Some might say that they were ok with paying the licence fee on the understanding that it was contributing to high standard programming,impartial journalism and no advertising.

Then to discover that some personalities are being paid vast sums,far more than they are worth (in some peoples opinion) is what really causes irritation.

I'd say that the licence fee payers have every right to complain about inflated salaries,paid to people who just are not worth that much money, if that's how they feel.

if you watch live tv you do have to pay for a license.

i've not had one for almost 8 yrs now, i don't watch live tv.

I feel that I can moan about the pay equality (or lack of) because I DO pay my TV licence.

The law makes me pay it, there is no way of getting around that, breaking the law to prove a point hardly puts you on the moral high ground does it, if you are a licence payer, and you are unhappy about the service you are getting, complain complain complain, spam the fuck out of them, but don't break the law, otherwise they will get a nice fat fine out of you as well

I don't give a rats arse whether top TV stars get paid a lot (although Chris Evans is NOT value for money). Hollywood stars get paid a fortune too!

However, I do give a rats arse that the women are paid so much less than men. Then the BBC defending the 10% disparity by sayings its not as bad as the 18% disparity nationwide. Oh, so that's alright then!

If the BBC is publically funded, then their programming should reflect the public. I bet the black newsreader reporting the story on News at 10 was thrilled that Huw Edwards gets paid so much more than him for doing the same job.

I am too busy to watch tv and gave mine away years ago but at a rough guess a £30 licence would pay for buying in the program content and paying the very fee staff required. Most people get their news off the internet from other suppliers now. And it would help independent program producers to flourish.

I watch live tv, so by law have to pay the licence fee. Do you not watch tv then OP?

No Sky? No Virgin Media? Or are you openly admitting to breaking the law?

I may be a 'sucker' for paying - ditto my Council Tax, National Insurance, household utilities bills and full PAYE but life's a bitch and I pay what I legally have to. When I pay Gas bill I'm helping to pay for their Senior Management salaries. Ditto my phone bill etc ..

When people pay for my companies services they are helping to pay my salary too. Suckers!!!

But anyway, I haven't complained about the BBC salaries to be fair so I guess it's all a mute point anyway!

A bit stereotypical that.

We don't watch a lot of live TV but don't illegally stream content. We mostly rely on legitament streaming services like Netflix's, Amazon Video & nowtv. Others can also use dvd boxsets..

It's a pain having to pay it but quite often have local BBC radio playing throughout the day, which is also covered by the license.
