Morning all

Thank you for coming yesterday, despite the weather we still had our traditional Tea Party

Massive thanks and love to Lickety for helping me so much and for her inspired, last minute, venue suggestion, chair sourcing and amazing cream teas

I had a great time and, as we all say, it was lovely to meet so many new forumites face to face.

One of the things I love about these socials is if I'm introducing people to each other, I say this is such and such username and their eyes widen, jaw drops as they say "Ohhhhhh". Not a clue who the person is but know them online

I know this is not the Oscars but....

For all I know the AfterParty may still be going on but more thanks to MiSTARess for organising that

Best hangover cure -- speed boating on the Thames until your muscles ache from gripping on for dear life, whilst trying to maintain an air of nonchalance and cool....all done to a blasting speaker soundtrack of Prodigy and The Clash. My legs are still shaking and I'm having to imbibe more alcohol now to handle. We got to have the boat to ourselves, a setting sun *and* a rainbow though! Awesome Sunday!!

I won the cup for being the only person to have attended every STP. What does that say about me?

I still don't know what a certain attendee expected me to look like. Not like that, obviously.

The Brain said she recognised me from my smile; no one mentioned the cleavage (which, on this occasion, was in the small category).

I've still got scones to make more cream teas. KM has the evidence that these were not skimpy offerings. Thank you to those that ate them. I will try and remember to curb people's cake purchases next time.

I always have a couple of rounds of cheese on toast when I get in. Carbs, protein and some fat to settle the stomach, plus a glass of water to rehydrate.
