After major surgery I had a morphine epidural but it was making me too numb down one side so they decided to to take out the epidural and give me a different pain relief. The nurse removed the epidural and then had to go off and get a doctors signature so she could swap the drugs. It took two hours for her to do this and I was in complete agony by the time she came back. Never felt pain like it in my life.

I scalded myself a few years back and the pain was so bad i screamed and burst into tears. The burning sensation lasted for hours and i had to go to hospital to get it checked. Had to wear a dressing on it for a week and i still have the scars the worst thing though was my dog was there when i did it and the look on his face when i screamed, he just didn't know what to do bless him and looked devastated.

Back pain is bad, and tooth ache is the sort of pain that could make you go mad if it's the nerve type pain. Awful and unrelenting.

Toothache, earache and sciatica are all really bad.

By far the worst pain I have ever had comes from hidradenitis suppurativa. It causes very large and painful abscesses/cysts in the groin, armpits and around the breasts. When it flares up having several golf ball sized swellings in these areas is excruciating.

Labour and childbirth. Tooth abcess. They are acute pain episodes.

The weeks before and following knee replacements. Infection in ear, mouth, gum, jaw, tongue, throat, teeth etc. Damaged trapeze muscle. These are chronic pain episodes.

All are/were terrible but the childbirth had fantastic endings

I am sure it is when it has symptoms.....just want to make those that don't aware that you CAN experience a heart attack without pain.

This is particularly common in women who could experience dizziness, sometimes mild pain in arm, a feeling of being disoriented and not at ease and generally feeling unwell as well as feeling a little breathless.

Not always pain in the chest area, often until it's the later stages and some considerable damage has been done.

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

I have adhesions on my intestine which occasionally cause excruciating pain...

The last bout was real bad, I got taken to hospital and ended up being rushed into resuss with an almost unreadably low blood pressure and coming in and out of consciousness through pain..

A good dose of morphine did the trick... Don't remember much for a couple of days following that..

Really looking forward to it happening again..

Thank you....i thought that this was particularly useful for those that do not realise that you can experience a heart attack without the usual/expected symptoms of those that you know to be aware of.

This is particularly a issue with women who just brush it aside thinking that it is just a general illness, bad case of flu or something and just 'get on with it' as women do.

However, as with all medical emergencies of this nature, if it is left too late, consideable, irreparable damage can occur.

Giving birth with just gas and air.... Nothing tops the mental pain of losing my mum when I was 18. She died in agony. Everything pales in insignificance compared to that pain. And it is a life long burden ( though the pain lessens), with no expiry date.

In early January, I was diagnosed with Kidney Stones. The docs said they'd never seen so many stones in one kidney before!!

But the pain then, was nothing to a week later, when the stones moved from my bladder and a number of them became jammed in the Urinary tubes causing a blockage.

Add to that more stones which had formed and moved from the other kidney and effectively piled up behind causing immense pressure!

The docs at A&E couldn't find me pain relief strong enough! The remedy came in the form of their "secret weapon"; that turned out to be several 2 litre jugs of Water which I had to drink over some 6-8 hrs and only then were the stones dislodged and most passed thru ok. Some didn't and hurt like hell!

Dislocated my ankle a couple of years ago. Had to relocate it myself using a garden gate as I was making a delivery and the customer wasn't in. Phone was in my van and the van was too far away to crawl back to. Was painful when it popped out, screamed like a baby when I put it back in. Being a rugby player and an amateur mma fighter I've had lots of injuries. This was by far the most excruciating pain I ever felt

I agree slipped disc is worse. I reduced me to tears. Although I will say period pains come pretty close which also made me cry.

3 weeks ago today I came off my horse while jump training . Landed with a bang which took the wind out of me . My friend said 'get back on , make her do it again ' so I did . Then another jump , then absolute agony . Had to slide off and crouch as the pain increased. To cut a long story short I was in agony on hands and knees for an hour until the ambulance turned up . Once the morphine kicked in it was better . Have 2 broken ribs and a slightly punctured lung.....it did hurt a bit .

I cant wait for periods to stop. The pains were as if someone had got a long sharp knife and proceeded to stab me in the same spot over and over again. No painkillers helped

The pain of Raynaud's. Like a thousand needles being jammed into your extremities. I had an inadvertent dunk in the river last December. I lay on the floor of the shower crying and screaming for 15 minutes afterwards as the circulation returned to my hands and feet.

Halfway Between London and Brighton

Any nerve pain!

I had a tooth that had to be extracted earlier this year - the pain before it - I just didn't know what to do with myself!

Other than that have had lots of injuries broken bones etc possibly the worst of those was when I tripped over, slid down the garden on my front and straight into a wooden stake that happened to be at eye level - couldn't open my eye for a week -was extremely lucky I didn't lose it x

Came off my horse whilst competing.

My horse decided that he wasn't jumping the ditch so slammed the breaks on.

I went straight over the top and snapped my arm in two when I landed.

Worst pain to date.

The worst pain I've ever suffered was this crazy headache that wouldn't respond to any meds I had headaches from 2007 till 2014 had a deep brain stimulator put in and now headache free. It was so bad that when I had other problems like a kidney stone I didn't take notice of the pain as I was do used to it.

You should get a Catscan as my friend was the same and they discovered he had a deep embedded tumour years later.

Get it checked out asap.
