Seen quite a few milk shake bars and the like crop up in the last few months.

So it seems that the trusty old milkshake is making a come back - YAY !

I am waiting for the ice cream floats to make a resurgence now too.

For those forumites too young to remember, a float is a tall sundae glass filled with cola or lemonade with a dollop of vanilla ice cream plonked on the top. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm x

Remind me of when I was younger, and my Gran used to make me them.

Yeah my mums sister used to do them for us in the Summer Hols.

I remember them and the home made cheese and onion plate pies she used to make.

East Grinstead

Still very common in Oklahoma and Texas, know of one or two places in London. Alas seem to do well in the summer, but often vanish in the winter...

On the milk shakes, proper ones rather than burger chain are great and a guilty pleasure.

When I was a kid we used to get ice cream floaters made with Avocat, lemonade and vanilla ice cream- they were mint!
