Hi everyone what should i do

I've broken the golden rule of meeting alone i honestly love my husband dearly and we made a commitment that we wouldn't meet anyone unless we were both together unfortunately events changed last night I invited a handsome fella into our home last night while my husband was in mainland uk I had sex 4 times with this fella but now feel so damm guilty and so ashamed should I be honest with my husband and come clean or should I keep it secret thank you in advance x

The only person to gain anything from owning up is the op . The husband will be devastated , and won't trust her again . She can have a clear conscience by coming clean , and he has to deal with how that leaves him feeling .

I have always found that someone only admits to something especially cheating to absolve their own guilt and nothing to do with being honest with their partner.

I just don't understand how a couple who swings, can cheat so quickly and easily when the opportunity arises, either this meet was already cultivated on the sly and pre planned, because I am single and still can't find a meet

It's a personal decision to take based on the qualities of the relationship and how agreements were made imo. As I think a partner would know, I would share and explain with them. And be there accepting responsibility to support them, should my actions upset them.

A strong foundation of trust, built upon honesty and recovery from mistakes, is better than one party being burdened by secrets and lies.
