So what were they doing in N Ireland then? Just sitting back and watching shit go down?? My dad undertook weeks of riot training when he was over in Ballykinler, this happend incase things went badly during Drumcree

i have a few m8s in the army an never been train with this sort: spoke 2 one yesterday about it he hope he never dose get sent to it

The way i personally see it is the military are the world police yet when we have riots and problems within our own country the government sit back and do nothing

Riot training was stopped when the presence in NI was scaled down. There are some squaddies who have had the training and are itching at the bit to be let loose on the idiots causing the troubles.

If we can't rely on our army to help protect our country then what chance do we have??
