Why in supermarkets do they put the bread and veg at the beginning of the store, making those items first in the trolly.

The tins and heavy stuff are at the end of the store making those the last things in the trolly, squashing the bread and veg

Possibly due to Strawberrys.

They make profit on this one item than all the others put together.

It really is in their interest to show you a good display.

I also think being nr the entrance you get constant fresh air nr the front of the store so put the fresh produce there.

Other than Lidls all my locals have the bread in the middle.

Use the seperate part of your trolly to put the soft produce.

Probably a thinner flour and more butter per 5g than a digestive for eg.
