Cornflake Pissing

your imagination

I enjoy a 'live and let live' attitude towards fab... each to their own, and if something/someone doesn't interest me I just pass them/it by. But I've noticed more than a few who thrive on pissing on peoples cornflakes. Be it a thread they don't like or a person they will target for whatever reason. The reasons for this completely elude me. Surely its more productive to focus on things and people you enjoy??

I know this thread will piss on their conflakes... I do see the irony...

Whats made your cornflakes soggy today???

Tesco's went in saw an offer for Beauty and the Beast DVD offering a free book and guess what they had the DVD's but no book.

Contacted their customer services what a waste of time that was.

It's their outlet for their anger at their own sad lives. Or, they have delusions of importance. Or, they can't think of anything nice to say, because they are not nice people. Or, something else.

The revellers in dishing out malificence. They provably don't even see it in themselves and assume they are being clever and witty.

There's banter and making it personal.

Great example yesterday in a nationality/sex thread.

Just have fun and be nice. Yes there are real people behind the names we post behind, at times they need thicker skin and to just ignore the negativity. More often than not the person that bitched should not of.

You can block someone from contacting you, but you have no control over them contacting others to spread their malice... I've been the victim of this myself over a year ago and know exactly how frustrating it is.

I agree, there really is no need for hostility towards other members of this 'fab family, some people think they can get away with it and enjoy being a keyboard warrior, but they don't realise the affect it has on their targets, or the impression it gives about themselves, a person's interactions on these forums gives a good insight into a person's personality, if somebody comes across as an ass online surely it would put you off wanting to have anything to do with them in case their behaviour is the same in the real world, where as the fun, friendly and compassionate ones on here make it enjoyable and fun... isn't that why we come on here? To have fun?!

If anyone sent us a PM out of the blue slating other members we'd assume straight away it was malice and report whoever sent the message.

We've not been on FAB long, but we've had two lovely meets so far. But to meet those two males we've had to pass by many others. We hope in doing this it hasn't bred any spitefulness, as there does seem to be quite a bit of vitriol in the forum's sometimes from what we've seen. Mainly (and don't have a go at us for saying this) from single men.

We're here to have fun, experiment and hopefully make a few new friends along the way and wish everyone on the site well.

It does happen. Is there a line where something has to be said though?

I agree 100%, some peoples cornflakes are pissed on needlessly, and when it starts happening others tend to join in.

But, there are posts where surely the poster has to have something said to them? There are posts with such whacky views, especially from people with no experience of swinging. If those posts carry on then the quality of content of the forum, and its usefulness diminishes. People should be able to use the forum to understand the wide experience available and different valid views.

So, I'm split on this. I think some people need a retort, but I agree, needless pissing on chips should be avoided.

It happens a lot in the Forums and I've noticed it more and more of late. I've had my fair of issues, been stalked in the Forums etc.

Men do it to undermine their rivals in sneaky ways. With the ladies it tends to be bitchy or veiled catty remarks against their competition, they know it hurts and makes them feel better. There's no need for it but sadly it's human nature - survival of the fittest and all that.

I don't like cornflakes

"It happens a lot in the Forums and I've noticed it more and more of late.

I don't like cornflakes "

Exactly. I'm being stalked, I've had plenty of snide remarks aimed my way. Except it didn't / doesn't hurt me, just shows they must feel threatened by me. And I like cornflakes. Apart from that, spot on.

Pointless worrying what a welder in a bedsit in Walsall with a single fem profile says.

If you know the person and value their opinion, fair enough. But there are so many keyboard warriors, who wouldn't have the confidence or ability to hold a conversation in real life, I wouldn't let it bother you.

do they even know you? i mean really know you?

often if it's an opinion they don't agree with then that's not personal either, although depending how they reply i suppose it might be from their end but it doesn't make sense to me that someone would attack an opinion.

i class pretty much nobody on here as really knowing me, just the few i have been chatting to for a long, long time via PM. and i'm very opinionated, as well as open, in the forums so i'm sure a lot of people think they know me, but they don't. and when people haven't really taken the time out to care about you then they can't even hurt you, that's how i feel anyway.

I wouldn't worry too much about block lists....I block for various reasons and a forumite who comes on here...who lives close by....will 99% of the time end up on mine through my own privacy reasons...until i get to know them. Nothing personal.

I've also said some not nice things about other people on here. I don't know them in person I only know their fab personalilty and some people just come across badly.

Excellent shout this.

I think it's school ground bully tactics, somebody asks a question (granted they could probably already find the answer in the forums but they may want a different perspective) and someone gives a smart arsed reply (aka pisses on their cornflakes).

I believe they are trying to show off by belittling someone in front of everyone. It's not big or clever but some folk can't help themselves. It may be because everyone is trying to get their end away and public forums are a great place to show everyone how big n clever they are.

I agree. If you are not here that often it is easy to miss. But if you spend some time, you begin to notice it. In the last few months one or two people in particular have seemed to just wait for the moment a particular forumite posts, then to go for them. It was happening a while back too. The aggressors appear to think they are wise and witty, when to an independent with no ties to either side, they increasingly look like little more than a bully. It isn't every post, they sometimes make decent contributions. But once you spot them picking on the same people it really shows them up as bullying trolls. It is a real shame and probably something they would fight against if they observed it in real life.

None of us are perfect, we all make mistakes and we all as human beings have feelings and emotions.

The problem in my experience of being in a Forum is, if you have an issue with someone, you can't discuss it to that person's face and in my mind that is really always a better way to solve things.

I have sat many times and read all 175 comments of an argument before getting to the bottom and realising I'll never get that last 7 minutes of my life back and realising how ridiculous and nasty people can be!

Keyboard warriors and some Forumites sat in their bedroom or safe place would never spout their negative rubbish and nastiness to someone's face. So I've learned to ignore or block them. I'm then one less person encouraging their attention-seeking ways and I ignore their posts.

It's supposed to be fun so I have learnt not to take things to heart, will never ever discuss my issues with a fellow Forumite because I don't trust anybody and just carry on being myself and amusing myself!

It's not just this place, and is certainly a sign of the change in society. The internet and digital age mean that we can all pry and make our thoughts feelings known from a safe distance with no filter.

I always see the constant need to criticise and insult people, as a deflection technique from people's own happiness. Which in itself is a sad state of affairs.

I despise people that try to one up everyone else with the same passion

To be honest, who cates what a bunch of random people think or post....The only people I care about are the ones who I meet, but you soon learn that you have to have a bit of a thick skin to join in on forum threads. But when you only meet the odd forumite, I cannot say it has affected me at all if people agree or disagree with what I post or say.

If somebody wants to have a go at me, then feel free its usually water of a ducks back for most on here anyway.

Some who leave due to the odd nasty comment or post, usually come back om here quite quickly anyway, so guess they also realise its how Fab works at times, rightly or wrongly.

It is sad that some people let themselves go, to the extent that they are pathetic tossers - with my due apologies to decent wankers out there.

To allow oneself to be so superficially fixated, consuming the crumbs of life that others leave around, is truly a tragedy. We have a great world and just aspiring to and sticking with those crumbs is beyond parody.

I never feel I have to understand popular culture, whether it be 'normal' or 'strange'..

I dont get the tattoo craze nor the beard craze..

everything I hear thats new in the sexual world..let say 'pegging' etc etc..I just think sounds made up like some kid from the inbetweeners..

I fucking even detest the whole MILF or even HOTWIFE or BDSM... I find neither actually interesting as a label or lifestyle....

fit into a category if you like..I might still like you...but I wont define myself myself so easily.

"I enjoy a 'live and let live' attitude towards fab... each to their own, and if something/someone doesn't interest me I just pass them/it by.

Milk!

Err. ..has someone upset the greater spotted forum posters by pissing on their cornflakes? That's not friendly. No one likes soggy cornflakes.

You know people have to have special words for stuff, it makes it easier than saying a woman fucking a man's arse with a strap on, for example. We like one word instead of many.

So many nonsense threads and serial attention seekers on here at times it gets right on my knockers. I've typed out pissy cornflake replies then deleted, realised there's no point and take a break from the forum. Everyone's happy.

"I'm surprised by how much cattiness and bitching actually goes on behind the scenes of this place. It's why I'll never ever meet anyone from the forums again, unless it's eating cake at a Tea Party "

There are threads for that sort of stuff.. haha
