Things you miss hearing

A world of my own

I read the "I love you" thread and I realised how much I miss those words.

Although now I realise they were often empty, I miss them in my ear or popping up on my phone daily.

What things do you lot miss hearing?

There are lots of things I miss hearing....

Crickets and lightning bugs filling an otherwise silent summer night.

Don't say such things, if something is missed it is bound to trigger some emotions.

I miss being told "you are always on my mind"

No apology needed, it's made me think of things I'd tried to forget but for the wrong reason. Things I wouldn't at moment feel comfortable writing about on here now, but seeing others are missing a range of things gives a different perspective for the better.

Thank you, great post.

Miss two people no longer hear: the laugh of my 'soulmate' George - he was gay but we so close that his partner thought we were having an affair!!!

He was always always positive no matter how poorly he felt! And always greeted me with hi gorgeous! Lost to AIDS in 2009

And my sis in law - would love to pick up the phone and hear either of them again, at least with her I can go on her Facebook and watch a couple of vids of her and with them both last thing I said was ' I love you' if you do then tell people!

My kids went away with their dad for 2 weeks on holiday last month ( we are divorced 10yrs) but it was the first I haven't had the kids away from me in that 10yrs and honest to god I have never felt lonely up until then ...

I've always been busy being single mum and working full time...

So busy busy busy !

It was horrendous coming home to an empty house, no mess, no cleaning up or loud music or bickering !!

I felt properly lonely for the first time

I even had a Bridget Jones evening were I got d*unk singing nobody loves me songs and cried

And it got me thinking I've been on my own for 10yrs and no relationship as such, yes I've had flings but not the sort I would of brought that person into my kids lives, sort of secret flings ...

Now I'm thinking wow is this for me, I'm 40 and am I just going to be on my own from now on......

I've spent my life pretty much the same way. Working to much proving to myself as well as others just what I can do all the while in the back of my mind thinking it's fine you've plenty of time to enjoy your life when your comfortable. What a cock yes I'm comfortable and my life from the outside has been a success but some how it's all slipped away and that time I always thought I'd have has vanished....

It doesn't always work out that way. Life is for living for taking chances for following your dream. And daring to step outside your comfort zone. If we don't we all all destined to what may feel like grounding day...if we do we may fail. But trying and failing is part of being alive rather than just existing. Whatever your dream is follow it ...who knows where it may lead or how it will change your life.

I do know if we always do the same thing we always get the same result...so tomorrow do something different take a chance on anything ...it doesn't matter what it is. Your life may not change overnight but taking a first step to changing things is the only way our lives ever change.

I wish you the bravery to do something different...the vision to see the future you desire..the luck to find your dream whatever it may be...

Don't apologise, in a misery loves company kind of way it's nice (wrong word) comforting (better word) to know that other people are in the same boat and not everyone is insanely happy!

"Sorry guys for bumming you out

I don't say how I feel in that way with everyone in my normal life ...

I'm Miss Happy with everyone else ...

It just sort of came out in this thread :-/"

Hope your feeling happy today. If not it's your right to feel sad at times to be reflective to wonder about the future and whatever it may bring...

There are times every one feels the need to connect with others to seek reassurance to feel more than the everyday...and sometimes to even feel the comfort of the familiar and everyday too.

We can listen empathise even give advice...but this is your life...it is precious and should be nurtured. There are times when we all need to do things for ourselves rather than others....the real secret is probably to find your dream nurture it make it real...only that way do we ever find the peace we seek.

I wish you well in that search wherever it leads you.

Those quite moments with someone special to you when you don't have to even say anything the look says it all.
