A question; what would you do if you knew that a number of biographies or history books on a important historical figure were factually incorrect

Would you keep it a secret because it implies that your family were complicit in potential criminal activities, or would you reach out to change the facts. How would you deal with it

Wow. I don't know. How long ago did these historical events take place? If it was a long time ago and the parties concerned are now dead I think I would want to take steps to correct the facts - regardless of any impact on my family's 'reputation'. You say 'implies' ... which suggests things may not be particularly clear cut anyway. And I think it's really important that history is presented as accurately as possible.

I am now however itching to know whether this is a hypothetical question or not, and if not, all about the figure concerned!

If the information is being supplied as factual and truthful and you, or someone knows that the information supplied is a lie then I would be inclined to spill the beans.

Of course if in doing so, innocent minors are compromised then I might have second thought and would have to weigh up how important the truth actually was in the schem of things.

Brighton - even Hove!

Actually, when I was a kid, dinosaurs in my books were all grey and sad looking. I'm sure I remember a sad looking diplodocus. These days they are all colourful, fast moving and have feathers.

I think everyone will be sitting right next to you tomorrow. I may wear my hearing aids so I don't miss anything.

There was a report this week that T-Rex was really slow and couldn't run. I'm sure we were given different info back in the day.

Many truths are dependant upon being viewed, to quote the ever wise Obi-Wan Kenobi "From a certain point of view". Is it possibly something that was said at the time and allowed to be laid down as fact as a benevolent act by the very people that you may percieve as being wronged?

Or am I making a conspiracy of this?... Ooooh I wanna know now too!!
